On the Day That I Make Them My Jewels

God's Jewels

This message highlights the glory of the coming Kingdom of God beginning at Jesus Christ's second coming with particular emphasis on how He will reward His faithful disciples as His very precious "jewels". (Malachi). Four points are explored : (1) A few of the world's most beautiful and expensive cut diamonds which just like all gemstones were created by God . (2) Description of how physical jewelry and gems are referred to in the Bible. (3) Description of the symbolic portrayal of gemstones in the Bible. (4) Explanation of the magnificent spiritual purpose of all physical things, including precious gems. This includes God's unseen but glorious spiritual realm. God actually created the physical world for the purpose of giving his greatest creation, human beings, the opportunity to learn to love and obey Him and develop righteous character. God wants us to reflect His pure, divine light of righteousness, similar to how beautiful cut gemstones reflect the bright light of the sun. God will ultimately liken us as His bright, gleaming new spiritual creation, to beautiful divine jewels and gems. He said through the prophet Malachi (3:17) "They shall be mine" says the Lord of host, On the day that I make them My jewels." God holds in store for us an astounding spiritual destiny and everlasting life in His coming Kingdom and divine family.
