The mindset of Jesus Christ as He gave the Olivet Prophecy was focused on people He loved--inhabitants of Jerusalem, and His own disciples. Privately, He spoke to His disciples of things that would happen, descriptions of tribulations and "the great tribulation." He also spoke to them of prescriptions, things that could help them to attain salvation. Be careful, He said. Discern the times, don't be troubled, and endure to the end. Pay attention. Pray. Believe. Watch. Be ready. And, be a sheep who will be placed at His right hand. Inherit the kingdom.
