In this sermon Rich looks at how the people of Gibeon deceived Israel into believing they were not among the nations Israel wa told to expel from the land by God and thus Israel made a peace treaty with them. Israel failed to consult God before making this treaty and the consequences of this error show up several times in the history of Israel. We need to learn from Israel's error and not make major decisions in our lives without seeking God's will in these decisions.
