PRESENTER'S NOTES
This year, the theme for United Youth Camps reads, “Calling, Honor, and Faith”.
What do these terms mean, and how do they fit into the function of the body of Christ, the Church of God?
CALLING - a strong inner impulse toward a particular course of action especially when accompanied by conviction of divine influence – Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.
45 It is written in the Prophets, And they will all be taught by God. Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me—
46 not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from God; he has seen the Father.
47 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.
II Timothy 1:8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,

HONOR – chastity, purity; a keen sense of ethical conduct: integrity; including (but not limited to) keeping one’s word. Synonyms = honesty, integrity, probity, rectitude, righteousness, uprightness – Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
An excellent summarization word for encompassing the meaning of God’s way.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Mark 10:29 Jesus said, Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel,
30 who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.
FAITH – Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
I Corinthians 7:12 To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her.
13 If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him.
14 For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
Talk about the opportunities our youth have as being called and how camp can contribute to their answering the call, practicing honor, and living by faith.
