With Gladness and Simplicity of Heart

The book of Acts describes the Church after the first Pentecost continuing steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and receiving their daily necessities “with gladness and simplicity of heart.” That accurately and vividly pictures the heart of this new Church. The joy of believing as they did is ours to have today. Let’s look at their example as an inspiring lesson for us today.

Andy Diemer is the pastor of the Fort Myers, Florida congregation and the associate pastor serving the congregations in Ft. Lauderdale and Vero Beach, Florida. He served as the pastor of the churches in New England from 2014 to 2021. He was baptized into the Church in 1981 and ordained as an elder in 2011. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Cleveland State University. He had a thirty-year career in manufacturing before being hired by the UCG in 2014.
