God's Invitation to Wake Up!

At times, individuals can be stirred out of a deep sleep by a sudden tragedy, such as a fire, earthquake or tornado. A person’s chances of survival are greatly improved when they are fully awake to the conditions around them. In a similar way, Christ warns His followers to be wide-awake regarding their spiritual condition. Are we listening to God's command to be alert and ready for the coming Kingdom of God?

Doug Wendt is a 1977 graduate of Ambassador College with a BS in Physical Education. His career included work as an electrician and General Contractor. Doug was ordained into the ministry in 2013 and  previously served congregations in Orlando, Jacksonville and Ocala, Florida. He now pastors the United Church of God congregations in St Petersburg and Tampa, Florida.
