Hi, everyone. Nice to be here with you, and a happy feast of tabernacles.
I want to say that I really admire all of you older folks for being here.
Makes me feel good.
I have to sit. I have arthritis in my knees. I broke my leg. My femur high up, it took me 43 days to get rid of it, to get over the hospital and rehab, and then come home and rehab at home. My leg is fine. It's my knees that have arthritis, so that's why you have this, and that's why I sit.
I can stand, but I'll get locked up in my knees, and then to try to move afterwards is going to be difficult. So that's why they put this for me, and I thank them, Ryan Hall and his son-in-law.
I thank both of you for coming up and setting this up for me, and I thank you for this special service. And I especially thank the sisters who sang beautifully. My wife and her sisters, two sisters, would sing too, so she knows harmony and melody and blending, and they did a wonderful job, and I thank you for that. That was beautiful. I was singing along with you, but I was quiet, I think. But you did not ruin it. You did a good job. I really hope you're having a wonderful feast. And remember, we've emphasized a lot of the spiritual side of it, and that's absolutely true.
But God wants you to rejoice and have a wonderful feast, too. It is for many of us a vacation and convention. It's for brethren, many of us don't have the money to go to many places for a week and eight days and food and lodging and all the rest. So it's a blessing that God tells us, put aside that 10% and use it at the feast. So we're very delighted that you're here. It looks like we have almost a full house, which is awesome, and I thank you for making the effort, because I know, not as a 20-year-old, 23-year-old, when I had my first past written, Buffalo, New York and Toronto, Canada, I know it's hard to get ready to go when you're older.
It's hard to even get dressed. Your fingers don't work so well. Try to get the buttons in the buttonhole, and the buttonholes seem to get smaller all the time, and the buttons seem to get larger all the time, and I'm trying to get in. Well, I hope to get this in. So anyway, I know what it feels like, but when I was younger, I couldn't understand. What? What? To go to church as a chore? Ah, come on! I used to go 20, 30, 50 miles. Church wasn't anything at all. But I know, and I thank you for making the effort to come and keep God's feast.
And God calls us to do it, and we need to be doing it. For participating as much as you do, I truly appreciate it. I hope you all got a handout. I have had a handout for almost everybody could get one. If they haven't been handed out yet, oh, they need to be handed out right away while I make preliminary comments. This is not the whole sermon. This is in case I leave some of the notes out, but you'll see why this is important. It'll save you writing all the scriptures and writing all those points. So this is the Feast of Tabernacles.
It's my 66th feast. Since Big Sandy, Texas, when that was the only feast site there was. And then we went to Squaw Valley after that, and then Jekyll Island. So there were three of them for a period of time. East, Central, and West. But now it's all over the world. So we used to all be together in Big Sandy, Texas.
I went that one time. I think there were like seven or eight thousand, and the next year they expanded it long, larger. And so that's an interesting site to be at, and it was enjoyable.
Everybody ate dinner, lunch together, prepared by the brethren in that East Texas area. And I had the opportunity to pass out trays when I was a freshman, so I got to meet almost every person there, because all of them went at lunchtime. We had two services every day. You're lucky you got to sleep this morning. So did I. I'm lucky to, or blessed, because we got to sleep in. But in most of the feasts I've gone to in the early years, it's two a day, and sometimes three if you had a Friday night in, you had a Bible study in the evening.
After you had two services, you had a Bible study in the evening, or a Sabbath, and then you had morning and afternoon on the Holy Day. Why not? You wouldn't come there for a Holy Day. Because people, you had to struggle to get in softball games, or any entertainment in between, and then you came rushing back, sweaty. It's the services for the second service of the day. It was really difficult in those early years. But the brethren were hungry.
They didn't have local pasturates a lot of times, and the Feast of Tabernacles was their only time to get three or four months worth of Sabbaths in eight days. So that's why it was so much at that time. But now I'm glad we can have services in a reasonable way for a lot of us, because you need your rest too. I know. My brother Dave is 87. He's in California, keeping the Feast out there in his group.
But he said, he tells tell somebody in the afternoon, I gotta go take a nap. I gotta go take a nap. And sometimes I don't have to sell anybody that. I just sit down in my easy chair. The next thing I know, I missed half of that other program that was on. It's suddenly the fifth inning instead of the second. So I know, I did sleep a little bit between. But that's okay. That's okay. God wants you to stay healthy. And if that's what it takes to stay healthy and alert, I try to be healthy and alert all the time. And I hope I am for you today.
If you have your hand out, there are, I think I have about 250 of them. So if you didn't get one, you could have one, you could share. That's great, because it'll help you in the first part of the sermon anyway. So here we are. You have arrived in the Kingdom of God, along with all the saints in the resurrection, which was depicted by the Feast of Trumpets. Christ comes back, the saints are resurrected. 1 Corinthians 15, 54, and Romans 1.4.
I'm not going to read them. You could see, 15, 54, you've got to put on immortality. So we become immortal. We become the children of God. How do you become a children of God? Romans 1.4. You're born by a resurrection into the family of God. You could now be called not only a begotten child of God in the sense of conceived, but you become a born child of God, actually a member of the God family, born of the Spirit.
One crucial scripture, 1 John 3, verses 1 and 2. I'm going to read this one. 1 John 3, verses 1 and 2. It's on your, or it says, your bodies, the first one and your anda. But I haven't come to that yet, so just you can look at that scripture.
We will be like Jesus Christ in spirit.
Do you know how powerful that 1 John 3, verses 1 and 2 is? Let's read it.
1 John 3, verses 1 and 2 is from King James. Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us? What kind of love is this from God that we should be called the children of God? And that was still while you were begotten, while you were still waiting for your change. Therefore, the world does not know us because it did not know him. If you become like Jesus Christ, the world doesn't know you. You're too honest. You're too straight. You're too faithful. You're too diligent.
You don't lie.
You walk like Jesus Christ. The world doesn't know you because you're not walking the way of the world. 2 John 3, verses 1 and 2 is? Beloved, now we are the children of God.
My wife was pregnant with my daughter Jan. We didn't know it was a girl. We didn't look those days. You didn't take pictures and look and see what they are. So I always called her, called it Little Jo. I was going to name our first child Joseph after my granddad, Joseph Lee, which was my dad's name, Leo. So we're named Joseph Leo. What did we have? A little not a little Jo, but a little Jan. So it had to be a girl. I love my girls. The second was a daughter too, Susan. They both, we I loved them and I wouldn't trade them for any two guys in the whole world because they're that great to us. They still are in their 50s. They're still great to my wife and me. They call Chicago. We were doing, see how we're doing, stop in. When they're here, Jan lives nearby, Susie doesn't, but she makes trips over to see us. So I love them. Be now. But when I always called it my little my little Jo. He wasn't out. He was just conceived.
So God calls you the children of God now, but it has not yet been revealed what we shall be. I don't know a position I'm going to have. Do you know a position you're going to have if I make it? And I hope I make it. I plan to make it. I want to make it, but that's up to God and me.
I hope you make it too.
But we know this. We don't know what position we're going to have.
We only know that of 13 positions, David over Israel under Christ, and the 12 disciples sitting on the thrones judging the children of Israel.
Those are the only two that the Bible tells you are taken.
Well, probably Paul will be apostle and will work spiritually with the Gentiles, and probably Noah will be responsible for immigration. He'll close the border, by the way.
But he'll be responsible for immigration, probably. Maybe Noah will be responsible for travel. He can be the secretary of travel. Maybe that will work. I don't know. But we don't know. We really don't know. That's what he says. He shall not be what we shall be. But we know this, that when he is revealed, when Christ is revealed, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Take that phrase, we shall be like him.
We'll take a look at that as we go through. As we look over our spiritual bodies, we become acquainted with all of our new features as a spirit being, a born child of God and the kingdom of God. Wow! We'll look at all this, the glory that God gives to us. We'll look at all of our new equipment. And is all that extra equipment for us? I've got a few more extras here. I added air conditioning. I've added, you know, mirrors, remote mirrors. No, we won't be looking over our bodies and saying, how beautiful we are. How wonderful! Oh, I'm more glorious than you! And there will be a glory. What will we be doing with all this extra spiritual equipment, which you're going to read about in a moment, and cover very quickly? Our bodies, in extra spiritual equipment, are not for us to compare or for our pleasure. Is there a greater purpose?
For all the new attributes we have now been bestowed or endowed with. What do we have to do with those? We will be part of a gigantic process of helping bring salvation to an uninformed, unconverted, hurting masses who have survived the tribulation wars and warfare, captivities, infirmities, losses that have come at the end of this world's existence, and Satan's grave. We will have to lead those people to God, which is the title of the sermon, and the kingdom of God.
That's why God is calling us. However many out of the billions, eight billion in the world today, will be left after all the catastrophes, all the trumpet plagues, all the seven last plagues, all the tribulation takes its toll on warfare and all the seals opening those seals, and what happens to them. The people are going to be stunned when Jesus Christ comes back to the earth, because he says, I'm not sneaking back. Some groups believe when he came back in a certain time, because they thought he was coming back then, so they allege that he came back, sneak in a private way. He's not sneaking back. He said, every eye is going to see him when he flashes through the heavens and comes back. Every eye in his feet he's going to land where? In the Mount of Olives. From where he was ascended, he's going to descend to the Mount of Olives. What was Jesus Christ born to be? King over Israel. Whom did they try to save as an example in Old Testament times? Physical Israel, because they were a slave people. They had nowhere to go but up. Nowhere else to look. They were about as low as you could be, making bricks.
First of all, withdraw, later on without straw.
They had to do this. They were enslaved. God said, they're humble enough I can use them. Now remember, when God made human beings, he made human beings subject to vanity. Why are we subject to vanity? Because that's that's all our physical life is about. I eat. That's vanity. Why? Well, we won't last.
It blows away after a little while. I drink. I get thirsty again. I breathe in.
And I have to breathe out.
So all those things we do. God calls it vanity. That's what Solomon said. Studying the whole world, studying people, studying what goes on. He said, all is vanity. In other words, by ourselves, of ourselves, of this world, there's nothing that's going to last.
What lasts is character. What lasts is God's Holy Spirit in us, uniting with our spirit of our brains.
That's all that lasts. But now we're changed. Changed. What kind of a body will we have? Because we're going to be involved in leading the beautifying of this planet, which has been damaged and ravaged, as God intended, and in leading the remaining peoples of the world to the kingdom of God, beginning first in Israel. That's why it starts. That's why he says the law of the Lord goes out from Jerusalem. That's why it all starts there. It's not that God prefers those people. They were the worst. They were the lowest. He didn't say, I'm picking you because you're so high. Now, they have great abilities. I'm not downing the ability of any people, because lots of people don't have experiences, have opportunities to grow and express themselves and learn, because many of the people in the world are ignorant.
Part of our job will have to be teaching people how to read, write, and understand, discern.
It's not going to be just easy. The millennium begins. It doesn't mean it instantaneously becomes the utopia. Oh, yes. You, with your power of God, the power of God, you can effectuate things a lot sooner. But the world is going to build away cities. The world is going to put this world back in order, and we have to lead them to God, to lead them to do it God's way. People are like, oh boy, I've never been in construction. I have to be over 10 cities, and I'm going to have to build those cities. I don't know how to build a city. I have to better go take a course on construction here.
When you're a spirit being, God will tell you, do it this way, this way, this way, this way, this way, this way, this way, and you let it. And you won't forget. How many times you've taken tests? You do that information. I can't think of it now. You forget. God doesn't forget, unless he wants to. He won't forget, and neither will you. We'll see that. It's one of your tremendous, incredible attributes. So let's take a look. You have your hand out. We'll take a look real quickly. I may give scripture or two different than one you have in here, but you could write it down if you wish. That's your hand out. So let's see some of our spiritual equipment. Just to inspire us what we're going to be doing, what we have to do with, and why the Kingdom of God is so important, and why we need to be on board on the way to eternal life. And it's not like just getting on a train. God does not have a salvation train. Buy your ticket and get on. We're all like running to catch it. And you have to do on your own, but you never make it by yourself.
That's one thing I have had to learn as I get older. I can't do it myself.
I need your help, Father. I need you to guide me, to lead me. I do all I can. I typed this up for you. I did all this typing. I do it for you. I do it for me to prepare.
But that's not enough. It takes the Spirit of God giving me the motivation and the inspiration, the clarity of thought to be able to give you a message with zeal, with enthusiasm, and with love. I can't do it by myself. And that's one big lesson I've learned in the last many years.
I have a sermon after the Feast of Giving in Cincinnati entitled, Sugar High or Sugar Trash? I hope while you're here you have a sugar high. I hope you'll be so delighted. Everything will be so enjoyable for you. I hope you have never any problems. If anything, health or anything else, it's my wish for you. We'll be on a sugar high. Now we come back after the Feast of a Sugar Low or a Sugar Crash. I'll explain what that is and what the antidote is after the Feast. So that's two days after we leave here.
So first thing you take is your body. Your body is going to be different, but it will be recognizable.
What good would it do to be up there? Here goes this people. I have no idea who that is.
Somebody will know you. Your fellow brethren will know you from your congregation. If they last, remember we have to endure to the end.
There's no free ticket. It's free if we want to stay on the train. Yes, maybe a free ticket to be on the road to eternal life. You've got to stay there, regardless of what comes. On the path. So John 4, verse 24, we read this scripture. John 4 and verse 24, God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. And of course, remember 1 John 3, verses 1 and 2, that instantaneous change to Spirit that's going to happen. It will be just like Jesus Christ.
No more physical aches. No more physical pains. We'll talk about that later.
No more having to have a cane. No more having to worry about gasoline from my car or electricity.
You could travel so fast. One of my favorite programs when I was growing up was Superman.
Superman. Why? He always stood for truth and justice. They stood for the American way. But really, because it was sort of a godly thing, if you read all the background of the person who wrote this fictional story, you'll see a lot of it was he believed in God. Al, one of the names is God.
Is his father one of the beings from which he came? And he comes to the earth. He does good.
He combats evil. He stands for justice. It says the American way, but he actually stands for not to faster than a speeding bullet. You'll be able to travel fast, rapid transit, as a spirit being. I'll show you that at the end. You'll be able to eat. You'll be able to sleep if you want to. You don't have to. You don't have to eat. Your flesh and bone, not flesh and blood, because blood is the life thereof. Your life comes from the spirit. We have an awesome time. What are you going to do with this body? You have a new body. It's going to be a new body, but I'm sure God wouldn't want you running around. Nobody knows who you see your daughter. She doesn't know who you are. You see her. You don't know who she is anyway. Maybe you don't know who anybody is. We will be seen. Jesus Christ could manifest himself to be seen, even in flesh and bone. He could let him touch him. He could eat with him. He could put on a barbecue. We'll see that. He actually ate as a spirit being. You don't have to eat, but you know where the good foods are.
That's a really good steak. Why, you'll know. You know where all the gems are. You need to direct people to find few gems. You know where they are in the ocean.
You know where they are in the rocks, in the rock formations. You know where they are.
You'll be a spirit being in the family of God, not just for you. Number two, you'll be glorified. Philippians 3, 21. We read this, who, speaking about Jesus Christ, will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed like his glorious body according to the working by which he is able to subdue all things to himself like Jesus Christ. I put, glorified. What does that mean? Does that mean we'll be shining? Does it mean we'll be bright and happy and cheerful? Probably all of that. But glorified. God is glorified. We'll see that glory will make you worthy of worship. The third point you have done, scripture on that one, is Revelation 3.9. Indeed, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not spiritual Jews, but lie. Indeed, I will make them come and worship before your feet. I thought, oh, it probably just means bow down, you know, like you bow and scrape. And to know that I have loved you, they will bow down to you. Yes, you know the Greek word there, excousia, or excousia. Sorry, no, this, I take that back. Here it is. The word of origin is proscuneo, means to kiss. But here are the translations of it. Bow down, bow down, bow down, bow down, before bowing down, bow down, prostrate himself. But those are all one time or two times. Worship 32 times. Worship, plural, past tense, 17. And then worshipers one, worshiping one, and worships many more times. It's translated worship. God will make people bow down and worship you. I remember when I was coming to the knowledge of the truth, I read the booklet, Why Were You Born? And Mr. Armstrong in that booklet wrote, We are born so we can become a part of the family of God. We're being called to that. And I thought, wow, one day, my dad and mom did not believe this way. One day, my parents will be proud of me.
They'll be able to say, there's my son. My son is a member of the family of God.
They don't know it now. They don't recognize that. But they will then.
You'll be worthy of worship. Not just God.
He'll be worthy of worship. He said, I'll make them come and worship before your feet. Point number four, no more death or marriage. Luke 20 verses 35 and 36. We read this, But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marrying nor are given in marriage, nor, verse 36, can they die any more. For they are equal to the angels who can't die, and are sons of God, being sons or children, sons of the resurrection. When you're resurrected, when you're resurrected, you won't be able to die. It's permanently alive.
How many people have been threatened by death? If you do this, I'll kill you.
God says, don't try that with a spirit being. Don't try that with one of those sons of God. It doesn't work. It doesn't work. You will not die. It's forever. You'll be a spirit being. We have no concept. What's forever? When I was a little kid, forever was being able to get myself a glass of water from the sink because I was too short. That was forever. When am I going to get big enough to do that? When can I tie my own shoes? This way, that way, over this, over this, or this, over that? I know how to tie my own shoes, although I wear loafers most of the time because it's easier not to have to tie anything. You just slip your feet into them.
We will be spirit beings in the family of God. No more death. No more marriage. No, I'm sure if you want to work with your spirit life, you'll be able to for all eternity. Remember, death breaks the marriage bond. Scripture say, you have to undergo an instantaneous death if you're still alive when price comes back. I used to think I would still be alive. I would like to hope that would be the case, but that's not what I hang my hat on. Some people hung their hat on it and said, Mr. Armstrong will live until Jesus Christ comes back. Nothing says that in Scripture. Nothing says that in Scripture. And as you know, Mr. Armstrong died in 1986. I was on campus when he died. I know. And the world didn't come to an end. So you can't base it on you, but you will be a spirit being. And when your wife is, you can recognize her. If you really liked her, happy with her, the spirit being, she's sure you could work with each other for all eternity. She may be the boss.
You may have to be a second man, second gentleman, or first gentleman, sorry, with her in that part of the kingdom. Nothing says the man's got to be superior because it'll be all one in God and Christ. And I'm sure God will have sons and daughters. He's not going to make the women become a man. He used to always get me when we read this. You're going to be sons of God. So all you ladies out there sitting out there, oh, I'm a woman. All my life is learning to be feminine and submissive and then I'm going to become a man. Now you're not going to become a man.
First Corinthians, second Corinthians, I think it's 714, 614 or 618, somewhere in there.
My sons and daughters, God says. Sons and daughters, not merely sons. He will be my sons and daughters. God doesn't make a woman become a woman. But rest for all of her life being a woman and all of a sudden she becomes a man. No, no, no, no. Imagine your wife with a beard.
Some of you can't imagine your husband with a beard. He's losing all of his hair or whatever. Anyhow, but that's okay. Let's go to number five. He won't get weary or tired. Isaiah 40, have you not known, have you not heard, verses 28, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints, nor is weary, his understanding is unsearchable. You're not going to get tired anymore.
And for us who are older, tired comes pretty quickly. And that's okay.
Take advantage of it. Take a rest, recharge, and go on. Everything doesn't have to be done all at once. That's what you find. You get older. You navigate whole day. You won't get tired. You won't get weary. Number six. Rulership.
Revelation 20 verse 4. You're going to be given judgment and rulership in your new position. We don't know what it's going to be. Will there be 10 cities, 5 cities, 1 city, no cities, maybe a pillar in the temple? We don't know what we're going to be doing.
But what we do know this, we will be spirit children of God. That we know.
That's what the Scriptures tell us. I saw thrones, and they sat on them. Judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls that were beheaded for their witness to Jesus Christ, and for the Word of God, who had not worshipped the beast, nor his image, nor had they received his mark on their foreheads, or on their hands. They lived and reigned with Jesus Christ for a thousand years. So whoever those are, they're martyred. They're going to be resurrected. They're going to be in that position. But all of us, it's not just them only, but identifying who's going to be there. Revelation 2, 26, we read, He who overcomes keeps my works to the end. To him, I will give power over the nations. So God doesn't equip you with all this spiritual equipment, and how have you not used it? He wants you to use it, but use it for good.
In Daniel, chapter 7, I'm not going to read it, verse 27, he talks about the kingdom shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High.
And then he goes back to chapter 7, verse 22. He says this in Daniel, it's time for the saints to possess the kingdom. So you're going to have ownership in the kingdom of God, bringing it to this earth. The kingdom of God is a spiritual entity which rules over a physical entity, the earth, and all of its inhabitants who are left here.
And the word there in that, and this next one I want to read to you is number 7, is the scripture in Matthew 28, 18, and the word there can mean power. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Now this is the one that's exusia, and it means out from intensity. It means authority. It means conferred power. It means delegated empowerment. It means operating in a designated jurisdiction. That you're given a job to do, and you have power to do that job.
God says you have, I'm given, he said in verse 18 of Matthew 28, all power is given to me in heaven and on earth. And then with it he said, you go therefore and preach the gospel to all nations. Go forth. I've given you this power. He gave it to them. I will be with you always, even to the end of the world, verse 20 says. Number 8 is, you cannot sin, 1 John 3.9. And why would you want to? You've been battling all your life. Sin will still creep up, but I don't call you sinners.
You are a sinner if you're regularly engaged in a sin, regularly, and give in to it, and like it.
Most of us at baptism guess what we did? I said, I quit on sin. Bury this old person. Put him under. Bury him. Not just kill him. Death like Jesus Christ, but bury him. And there's a new man that's been created. You know what it is? Jesus Christ in me. Now Jesus Christ has to keep that old man down, because the old man really only figuratively died. And he follows me. But I'm not the old man.
You can go through and read what the Apostle Paul said about Christians. Read what Romans calls them, what he calls them in Romans. Read what he calls them in Corinthians. Read what he calls them. He doesn't call them sinners.
He calls them holy. Holy brethren. Righteous brethren. None of us is righteous totally, are we?
None of us. Not one. But God makes us that way. So you can't sin.
1 John 3, 9. Whosoever is born of God cannot sin. Here he means begotten of God because he goes on to talk about it. But that same statement just pulled out of context is true as it stands. You're born of God, you cannot sin. This would be, you do not practice sin. You can look that up at commentaries. So, you know what? Number nine is you will overflow with love.
What the world needs now is love. Is love. It used to be a song like that.
What the world needs is love. The world will get love. From all the new spirit beings, the children of God, one of their main characteristics is love.
Why can I say that? 1 John 4, verse 8. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God. If you are a member of the God family, love will be inherent in you because God is love.
As we read later in that verse, the last part of it. And he who loves is born of God and knows God. For God is love. And the word there is gape means strong. That can be used for other things, too. It's not only used as a godly love for people, too.
Number 10. You'll have the comfort of God's Holy Spirit to administer to others. 2 Corinthians 1, 3, 4. He said, verse 2, speak comfort to Jerusalem. That's in Isaiah 40, verses 1 and 2. Comfort you. Yes, comfort my people, says your God. We will need a lot of comfort. Remember God's Holy Spirit being in you does give you that spiritual comfort to share with others, too. And being as a spirit being, you will be composed of spirit. And we will have that comfort to share. You'll be able to travel at the speed of light. How do I know that? As Jesus Christ said to Mary, don't cling to me after his resurrection. And notice what he says, for I have to go. I'm going to send to my father and your father and my God and your God to the throne in the northern skies and back is where he went to the throne in the northern skies. Verse 19, then the same day at even.
So wherever the door, wherever God's throne is the northern skies, we know it's in the north. Why?
Promotion comes from neither the south, the east, or the west. Where does promotion come from? The north. Who's in the north? God.
We will have the power of God, the speed with which to travel. Instantaneous. The Superman had to find a telephone booth to get over his get-nice clothes and get on his pajamas. I mean, his his outfit. And take a leap. Hey, vlew.
When I've traveled on the plane off and looking out the windows, I like to sit near the window, see if they're going to crash or not. So anyway, I like to sit near the window. But anyway, I look out the window and as I'm looking out the window, I'm thinking, what would it be like just be out here soaring? I'm not going to do anything like that, but I'm just saying, what would it be like? You'll be able to. You'll be your own drone!
To be able to explore what's happening around here, what's going on. And if only you can do it fast, as fast as you want. Same day, that evening, he came back, revealed himself to his disciples, walked through the walls, doors were shut, and he comes walking through the walls. But he didn't damage the walls. Superman damaged walls.
He had lots of powers. That's what I grew up loving. Superman, and the second one I used to love, the Lone Ranger. You know, I like the Lone Ranger. He always did truth and justice. He never made a big show of it. He never had to stay around for all the accolades, and as he rode away, they said, who was that man who did those good deeds for us? Anyway, who was that man? Don't you know? That's the Lone Ranger. I love those two. They both fought for justice. Can I have that stir in me? I hate it when I see injustice. I hate it with a passion. I hate it when people try to lie to me and tell me they're telling me the truth. I hate it when they don't even show any signs of lying. Well, some of them do.
I watch them. I feel this is not a holy day trying to get you to agree with me.
That's a baloney. That's a baloney sandwich. It's no good. It's pork baloney, so that's why it's different. Okay, number 12. The last, let's say I've got 14. Yeah, quick. 12. Number 12. We can eat, drink, and sleep. You could find that Jesus had a barbecue for his disciples, John 21 verses 9 and 10. You can also find in Luke 24, 43 that he actually ate as a spirit being. He also told his disciples on Passover evening, I will not eat or drink of this until the kingdom of God. So as a spirit being, he was already saying, I can still have Passover if I want to. He doesn't have to. He's already been the Passover for us. Number 13. Teach God's way. Isaiah 30 verses 20 and 21 tell us there will be teachers standing behind people, and they're not sure which way to go to tell them, this is the way walk you in it. Who do you think those teachers are going to be with the speed of light travel or more? Who show up and say, hey guys, you don't want to do this. I know you're trying to form a little mob. You're not allowed to do this. Stop. Stop or I have to zap one of your arms.
I mean zap it where you just not even clatterize it for you.
We will have the power of God to help you. Now we don't want to force it. We want them to do it willingly, but sometimes they won't. What are they going to do in Zechariah 14? They call them up to keep the fees. God said all the nations will come. Not every nation, or you wouldn't have enough room in Jerusalem to have them come, but you can have representatives from all the different nations. If they say, oh, we don't want to send a representative. We don't have enough money. We can't afford it. Oh, we don't want to do this anyway. God says, no rain on your country.
Does that change your mind? Oh, no rain. Okay, more calamities coming. How about a few hurricanes? How about a few earthquakes?
He doesn't want to force people to, but remember every knee will bow to Jesus Christ.
If he has to break them, they will bow. He's given the world its head. He's given them the opportunity to do what they want to do, and it leads them all to the great tribulation of horrible time on earth. Time like there's never been.
But he's going to lead them out, and Jesus Christ is coming back.
So we can change. We can teach God's way. Number 13, number 14, we can change our appearance.
In John chapter 20 verse 11, Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she whipped, she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels. And they said, why are you weeping? Verse 12, she said, she said to them, because they've taken away my Lord. I don't know where they took him. And she supposed, and then verse 14, when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but did not know it was Jesus.
So I suppose you could either blur their eyesight, or you could blur who you are. So this is Jesus Christ after his resurrection. She could not—so she, and he, and he, and did not know it was Jesus. And Jesus said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? Or, Ma'am, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking? And she, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will go and take him away.
Then Jesus said to her, Mary. And she understood. She somehow, that ring in her, the way he said it in her voice, and she said, she turned and said to him, Rabboni, which means to say, Hecher.
Remember when Jesus Christ came through the doors, came through the doors? I already read that. To you, John 20 19, appeared before them. They could touch him. Here, feel my, look at the holes. See, if I had holes in my arm now, you'd be seeing a lot of red up here, too.
But he had holes. He could show them, especially this one on his side, right near the heart.
You'd see blood, but they didn't see blood. They could put their hands in there. They didn't have to go wash them. So when he appeared to them, he appeared as a human being, and they recognized him.
So if you don't want them to recognize you, I guess you can't. So if you want to go incognito, I suppose you can. If you want to go underground in that group, find out what they're up to, I suppose you could. But they may be surprised when you don't want to eat very often, or don't need to, and don't need to sleep very much.
So we could change forms. We could hear and disappear. But with all that extra equipment, what's our commission? I'll take you about 10 more minutes. Okay, is that all right with you? I don't want to, I don't want to, I wanted to make sure I got the message across today to you, but I don't like going over time. I could stop now if you want to, if you won't hear the rest of you, got your message for the first part. Our commission by God, Ephesians 2 and verse 10, it was fitting for Him, Paul wrote, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things Jesus Christ and God, in bringing many sons to glory to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Ephesians 2 and verse 10.
Also, please note in Romans 11 verses 25 and 26 what God says, verse 26 particularly. So, all Israel will be saved.
So there will be still some Israelites left on this earth. God's going to gather them, and they will be an example to the rest of the world as it starts, not because they're better than anybody else, but because they didn't do what they were supposed to do in the first place, but neither did anybody. No group did anything that was right.
Why? Because they were born subject to vanity, and that's what happens. If you don't know, and that's what happens, if you don't help your children teach them appropriately, what happens to them? They give in to all the baser nature. Why? Well, within all of us to want to survive, it's within all of us to want to live, it's within all of us to want to eat, it's within all of us that want to do something that's desirable, it's within us. And sometimes, if those things aren't tempered, you could become selfish. You could become rude. You didn't get your way. Those things have to be taught to children as they grow up, teach them to share, teach them to think of their neighbor, not just themselves, teach them to give to others, teach them to do the right and decent thing, not the convenient thing. As you teach them those things, they learn and they grow.
So again, Israel will begin and be an example to the rest of the world.
We'll help them build waste cities, not that we have to be there shoveling.
We say, you know what, we could do this. I could knock that wall down for you. I could clear that mountain. We don't need to put a tunnel through. I'll just straighten the dots. But you go do the work because he tells us they will build the waste cities. Ezekiel 36 verses 35. So they will say, this land that was desolate has become like the Garden of Eden.
Garden of Eden is always used as utopia.
Garden of Eden is always referred to as something that's absolutely beautiful. And this world is going to be in such an awful shape that it needs to be renewed. That it needs to be renewed.
Who's going to help with that? Who's going to help lead them over the cities, the towns, and villages, and the rural areas? You in the kingdom of God as a spirit being. Oh, I've got to learn how to do gardening. I have to be able to say, well, whatever you did today is what you're going to do, but I don't like being a janitor, but that's the only thing I know. Well, you're going to be a janitor in the kingdom of God.
According to your works, be it unto you.
Some people apply that that way. This person is going to be because they worked in the business office at Ambassador College. They're going to be over all the business offices in the world.
What if they don't want a business office?
You're going to have one anyway.
It's not what you do now. I mean, I better practice.
Now, it is the knowledge and the character that you have now you will carry on into the kingdom of God.
But how many have learned a perfect way to teach? How many have learned the perfect way to do this or do that, a perfect way to do anything?
God knows. You'll know.
God tells you to do something. Can you repeat that? Let me write that down.
Can you give me the outline? Automatic, you know! Why God remembers. God doesn't forget people. Why? He knows of every bird that falls. He knows how many hairs I have on my head, which is getting fewer.
As I age. And grayer as I age. If they're not already that way.
He knows. If he knows all that.
Is he forgetful? He doesn't. Every bird that falls from the sky. He knows the names of all the stars of the heavens, which are more stars in the heavens than there are grains of sand on all the seashores of the world.
That's how great your God is in my God.
You won't have to forget people. You won't have to forget things, nor will you have to learn new things. How to do it. They tell you that. You learn.
No, this way. Sure. This, this, this, this. Got it.
How do I roll this sitting? Here's how you do it. This, this, and this, and this. Okay.
See, God, you're a spirit being. You have this mind of God. You don't have human mind anymore. Your human mind has been used with you now in conjunction with the Spirit of God to help you assimilate God's truth, help you assimilate God's way, and be able to live it and teach it.
So we'll help them build away cities. He says then, verse 36, the nations that were left all around you, the Lord, I the Lord have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it. And what is our job?
To be helping Jesus Christ for all eternity.
Be with him. He came to be our Savior. He came to save us.
We will comfort and heal people who are infirmed and brokenhearted.
Isaiah 35 is a whole chapter. You could read on that. We'll find the families that are lost or separated at death or during the disasters. Other tribulation. How many little babies? How many children here in America that came in with others who smuggled them in were their parents?
What happened to them? What happened to all the kids who've been killed? What happened to them?
When they're resurrected in the Second Resurrection, but those who still live and survive all that, where are their parents? They may have been blown up over in this city. They may have been visiting a relative in that one.
What do they do now? They need comfort. They need soothing.
They need the love of God dispensed to them from you.
Love, grace, light, and truth. They will all be learning. Why? Because Jesus Christ was light, truth, grace, and love.
You'll be able to teach that to them. Why? Because you'll know what it's like.
You'll be able to help the people, the physical peoples of this world. You'll be able to sit and have dinner with them. You'll be able to impress them if you need to. You'll be able to impress them if you need to. Some healings, quickly. Although I don't expect everybody's not going to get sick.
Though if they are sick, they can be healed immediately.
What an awesome time that's going to be that God is going to give to us. And, brethren, God has called you for such a time as this. That's what Mordecai said to Esther. God has called you for such a time as this.
We're a small people. We're few. Few.
We found that not everybody sticks with the truth when they have error dangled in front of them by men who are supposed to be their leaders. And they bolted. And they bolted. They went for the pepperoni on the pizza the very day it was announced that the law was no longer good. Students and ambassadors when I was there.
They went out and ordered pizza, and they loaded it with pepperoni.
All because some man said, it's not valid.
I don't believe men. I believe the Bible. I believe the truth. Follow the truth, and you can never go wrong. Follow Jesus Christ's example, you can never go wrong.
The church is here for us to teach us, to help us, to guide us through.
May you always be faithful to the truth of God and help build his congregation. 1 Corinthians 2, 9, my last scripture. 1 Corinthians 2 and verse 9.
Let's read this. What the kingdom of God will encompass and what we can look forward to.
But as it is written, I has not seen nor ear heard, I think Mr. Maclean talked about this.
Neither has heard nor have entered into the heart of man. We can't even conceive what the kingdom of God is going to be like. Oh, we're here trying to picture that. We're here trying to picture a time of joy and delight. But as it is written, I has not seen nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who loved him. We cannot imagine what it will be like to be a spirit being in the kingdom of God, helping lead this world to God. What an awesome, glorious, busy time that initial 1000 years will be. We will be active, not with our harp, not with polishing our halos, or basking in heavenly places, or down by the riverside. But we'll be helping to establish the kingdom of God. And remember, it's only a preparation for the great harvest that's going to come at the second resurrection, pictured by the eighth day. May God bless your observance of the feast. May you be blessed as you observe it and think about the awesome and wonderful time that God has for you and this world.
