Those who cannot learn from the lessons of history are condemned to repeat it. The Bible describes many historic events (such as those listed in 1 Corinthians 10) that deal with cause and effect, success and failure that we written for our benefit. Let us explore some of these lessons from biblical history that were written for our admonition and benefit.

Fred Crow is an elder with United Church of God; pastor of the Eureka and San Jose, California congregations. Fred retired from the aerospace industry in 2015. He has two daughters and eight grandchildren. He wrote a newspaper column, was a published cartoonist, taught scuba diving, and is a writer, photographer, and traveler.
