Lessons From the Prodigal Son and His Brother

The commonly known title “The Parable of the Prodigal Son” partially distorts the overall importance and lessons for the parable. The prodigal son is only a part of the story and only part of the intended lesson. Two categories of people need to repent and have a relation with God. Obviously sinners, but also the righteous and obedient whose righteousness is their own and not based on faith and grace.
