Lex Talionis and Jesus

Our modern society is seemingly obsessed with revenge and retribution... The concept is known as "Lex Talionis" the "law of retaliation". And it is tied often to God's Law and an "eye for an eye". But is that was meant originally? Especially as it relates to personal interaction? Jesus addresses it in the New Testament, with an interesting twist. Let's read what He had to say.
