In the book "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten", Rule #1 is "Life's Not Fair. Get Used to It". The other rules referenced back to Rule #1. For both young and old, life in this world is not fair. How we deal with inequities that we suffer in this life reveals our character (our real inner person). Even though life is not fair, God's blessings go along with whatever may happen in our lives. Consider how this is demonstrated in the life of the patriarch Joseph.

Fred Crow is an elder with United Church of God; pastor of the Eureka and San Jose, California congregations. Fred retired from the aerospace industry in 2015. He has two daughters and eight grandchildren. He wrote a newspaper column, was a published cartoonist, taught scuba diving, and is a writer, photographer, and traveler.
