This world is full of war and violence.  Peace is a state of tranquility or quietness.  But real peace is a product of the Holy Spirit and it originates from God Himself.  So its going to be much more than the absence of hostility.  The Hebrew word, Shalom means to be complete, whole, sound, even to live well.
