In Psalm 51, David records that God desires truth in the inward parts. This idea points forward to God’s greater plan, included in the meaning of Pentecost. The first Pentecost marked the birth of the New Covenant Church and the giving of the Holy Spirit to those whom God calls. We discover that through His Spirit, God works within believers to plant His truth deeply in the heart and mind.
