[4] Hear, I beseech you, and I will speak: I will demand of you, and declare you to me. [5] I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear: but now my eye sees you. 1 Chronicles 29:11-15 1 Chronicles 29:11-15 [11] Yours, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; your is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. [12] Both riches and honor come of you, and you reign over all; and in your hand is power and might; and in your hand it is to make great, and to give strength to all. [13] Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name. [14] But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of you, and of your own have we given you. [15] For we are strangers before you, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

(NKJV)
11  Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all. 12  Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all. 13  "Now therefore, our God, We thank You And praise Your glorious name. 14  But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? Acts 17:24-28 Acts 17:24-28 [24] God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands; [25] Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things; [26] And has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; [27] That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: [28] For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
American King James Version×
(NKJV)
24  God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25  Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26  And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27  so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28  for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'

Romans 8:14-17 Romans 8:14-17 [14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. [15] For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. [16] The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: [17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
American King James Version×
(NKJV)
14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15  For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." 16  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17  and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Psalm 145  6  Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness. 7  They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness. 8  The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. 9  The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.  10  All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You.

Psalm 145 11  They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power, 12  To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom. 13  Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

Hebrews 2:10-11 Hebrews 2:10-11 [10] For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. [11] For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers,
American King James Version×
(NKJV)
10  For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11  For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,

American King James Version×
(NKJV)
12  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13  For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."

Jeremiah 29:11-13 Jeremiah 29:11-13 [11] For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. American King James Version×
(NKJV)

Good afternoon, Mr. Morrison Thank you for the sermon. It taught it me aspect of the scriptures I didn't know..the associating the offerings from the first testament to what they symbolize in our lives. But I do have a question. I am aware that Jesus told the disciples to say our Father, but there are also instances when Jesus prayed Father and not our Father (Matt.11:26-26, Matt.26:39,42, John11:41, John12:17-28, John 17:1,5,25). Is it wrong as an individual and alone in prayer say... Father, I come... or oh my Father help...? The majority of the time I do begin with our Father but there times when it seems more personal to say Father. Appreciate hearing your response.

Hello Marion, Thank you very much for your question. This is indeed a personal matter. My reference was to the instructions to the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is bringing the Kingdom of His Father when He (Christ) returns. God is building a Family. Christ was answering His disciples in that context ...a united Family in God's Kingdom of Peace forever.

Hello Marion, Thank you very much for your question. It's a good one. When the disciples asked our Lord Jesus Christ how to pray, His answer included referencing OUR Father. He is the firstborn among many brethren, so clearly He referenced that relationship, and instructed us to do the same. When Christ is recorded as praying without referencing our Father, He has His reasons. His instructions in answer to the disciples is clear however. We do have a personal Savior, and are collectively blessed to come before our Father in individual recognition of God's Plan for His Family growth through His kingdom by Jesus Christ. If you would like more on this subject, please look into our no-cost to literature.
