One perspective about the Last Great Day is that God’s plan to create His family was established from the foundation of the world. God’s Kingdom will soon be established. The Last Great Day represents humanity’s opportunity for salvation at the end of the Millennium.
We are completing eight wonderful days together celebrating the future in the Kingdom of God. Now, we must prepare to go home and face the daily challenges of life. This present evil world is not an easy place in which a true christian must live. No matter what comes our way, we must be assured God will see us through. This sermon seeks to provide encouragement and guidance on holding fast as we continue our individual journey to the Kingdom of God.
Do you know what this Eighth Day pictures in God's great master plan of salvation? The picture of what God plans for all humanity is revealed through the feasts of God, and the Eternal does not desire to see anyone perish, but all to have and opportunity to be saved. The Eighth Day has a tremendous meaning for all mankind!
There are many injustices in this world and little fairness. We will see that God’s definition of fairness is different than ours and that fairness has to do with the meaning in the Feast days. We will look at Paul addressing fairness and then Paul talks about Israel and everyone being saved. Then we will look at the three (3) judgment periods focusing especially on the Last Great Day and that God is for us and wants to save all.
We are to count our blessings before preparing offerings.
God will extend His knowledge of the truth and His Holy Spirit in His time.
God's plan for man doesn't end with the Millennium, it continues beyond it. This message looks beyond the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ and the saints and beyond the second resurrections to the moment when physical life gives way to that which is eternal.
God doing for his children what we can't do for ourselves.
We are going to look at the beauty of what water will mean to us during the future Millennium. At the Feast of Tabernacles, we celebrate a time when all nations will rejoice in abundance that which is symbolized by drinking from living waters and walking in God’s Way. As water sustains our life today, water will symbolize God’s Spirit and how His Spirit will sustain everyone in the Kingdom of God.
True worshipers will be at the Feast of Tabernacles to worship the Father in spirit and truth. Every seventh month on God’s calendar, for seven days, we are to keep this feast at that place where God places His name. The years of feasts repeat with changing lessons. Perhaps at different locations, but always as a way to remind us of the cycle and the plan of God.
After a 1000 years of peace on earth, we will see the growth of Christ’s government and of peace. However, prophecy states very clearly that when Satan is released, he will quickly be able to sway vast amounts of people to darkness and destruction. We will explore how this is possible and why our work to teach and to lead in the kingdom is so important.
God has proven Himself faithful in many ways, including that He accomplishes all His will. Reflecting on this fact, we can have great confidence in the plan recorded in the Bible for what He will accomplish on earth, with mankind, and into eternity.
There are specific physical and spiritual examples of God’s inherent power as a reflection of the marvelous glory that will be ours when Christ returns and the Kingdom becomes reality. God also provides a spiritual framework to keep the Kingdom and our personal transformation more top-of-mind throughout the year, springboarding from messages and experiences from the Feast of Tabernacles and Eighth Day observances. Call to action: Set your minds – take deliberate, intentional action (including asking God for help) – to consider more deeply what your future will be like as a resurrected (or transformed) Child of God in the Kingdom.
Compare and contrast the reigns of Solomon and Jesus: Both Kings/Rulers, riding a mule, subduing enemies, material wealth, happiness of the people, ruler-ship based on God’s law/wisdom, and resultant peace. Contrast- Solomon failed, JC will not. The goal of the message is to inspire the hearers with respect to the wonderful and glorious reign of Jesus Christ at his return.
We are going to discuss how Ecclesiastes relates directly to the Feast of Tabernacles. The Jews read the entire Old Testament over a three year period. There are certain books that are read specifically for certain feasts every year. The book of Ecclesiastes is read every Feast of Tabernacles. Malachi prophesied that Jesus Christ would come with healing in His wings. When He came to earth the first time, Jesus healed everyone that came to Him. When He comes the second time to establish God's government on earth, will He come with healing in His wings?
What does our job look like during Christ's Millennial reign? We are going to look at two areas , first the role of the Levites in the Tabernacle and Temple period. Secondly, the role of Christ's conversation with the seven churches in the Book of Revelation to see how these two reveal our jobs and responsibilities during Christ's soon coming reign on the earth.
A Change of Heart: The Coming of the Millennium
The world today is full of conflict, war, hatred and malice. True peace will only come when the world is under a new form of government. Man cannot achieve peace on his own. (Isa 59:7) The Millennial rule of Christ with His saints will bring a blossoming of peace that will spread from internal/personal peace, to interpersonal peace between people and ultimately to international peace as the world learns to live God’s Way. (Isa 32:14-18)
As members of the family of God, we await the Millennial Kingdom, a time of profound peace and restoration under Christ’s reign. Many prophecies we hear during the Feast paint a powerful picture of the Kingdom of God. They provide a vision of hope. We live in challenging times, yet God provides hope, a future, and a vision. Many people have said over the years that they can’t quite see themselves as kings and priests in the coming Millennium. Using Jesus’ emphasis on service during His ministry, we would benefit from some helpful expert advice in visualization and mental rehearsal to better prepare for our future in the Millennium.
This message stresses the importance of recognizing and embracing the power of our witness to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ to endure to the Kingdom.
We are influenced too much by the false depictions of Jesus as portrayed in churches and other places. Those are almost always showing a frail, rather sad looking man. That is wrong, but more importantly, do we comprehend how He exists today in supreme power and glory? This study is intended to broaden our understanding of Jesus as our all-powerful savior and elder brother who will rule forever.
When we recognize that the weekly sabbath points to the Kingdom of God, it’s like a mini Feast each week. It represents the rest, the healing, the refocus, and the joy that the Feast of Tabernacles pictures. That should change the zeal we have for the Sabbath and keep a picture and zeal for the Kingdom year-round.
When Christ returns, we will be assigned great responsibilities as kings and priests. How much thought do we give to how we will handle these responsibilities?
The history of world government operating principles and mottos have shown that they are missing God’s core essence of love. Humanity is going to receive a bright bold new way of living, one that we are very familiar with. The Kingdom of God’s guiding principle will be love.
For the message today I want to take a Sabbath “walk”. During the Millennium. What will it be like? I know none of us at this point know exactly what this time period will be like, but let’s dream a little.
Who would you want to meet in the millennium? The Bible gives a who’s who list of those guaranteed to be there. Revelations 3:21 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
The Sabbath is a shadow of things to come. Keeping the Sabbath prepares us for keeping the Feast of Tabernacles. Keeping the Feast of Tabernacles prepares us for the Millennium and for living in the Kingdom of God.
What is the “Kingdom of Heaven like? “ Christ reveals it is something which we have 'found' and are willing to sell everything we have to attain.
Hope is the driving power and outermost edge of faith for you and I. Because of Hope, despite the past or even because of it, we can keep our eyes on the future. Hope has been and always will be among the deep-rooted things of God’s plan and should be interwoven within our lives connecting us to God the Father and Jesus Christ and their wonderful plan for us, as well as all of humanity.
How realistic is the beginning of the Millennium now. Do we have a sense of urgency.
It's God's mercy that we are here. And will show example in the Bible.
The coming KINGDOM of GOD represents the PROMISED RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS TO GOD’S WAY... leading to a BETTER LIFE... and BETTER WORLD AHEAD... ON A GLOBAL SCALE! And that is really GOOD NEWS!... a TREASURE truly WORTHY of GREAT SACRIFICE and PRICE!
Let us explore what God defines as pleasing to Him. Our Great God has created man in His image and have given man the ability to choose. Along with choice: vision, taste, smell, hearing and touch come with the package as attributes of the Father. Our God gives us instructions on how to be a sweet savour unto Him.
Tabernacles pictures Israel's wandering as strangers in a strange land. In John 7, Jesus speaks during the Feast to a repeated and interesting phrase "Not of this world". Is there a connection for us today?
