The "Second Exodus"

The Gathering of Israel

Our messages often describe human life during the Millennium, but we seldom focus on one special group--the Israelites. Many prophetic scriptures relate how God will summon the descendants of Israel and Judah from all over the world, bring them to Jerusalem and the land of Israel, teach them God's truth and convert them, so they will become the role model for the world. People everywhere will see the Israelites living by God's laws and see how blessed they are. This will be a fundamental part of God's plan to teach and convert all of humanity. Amazingly, the miracles that will be necessary to accomplish this will far exceed the spectacular miracles of the Exodus from Egypt. Therefore, we commonly refer to this process as the “Second Exodus.” During the Exodus, God told Moses that Israel was being called to become the model nation to the world. Israel weakly fulfilled that mission for a while, but that didn’t last long. Now we understand that the Exodus and Israel’s original mission was a largely a type to help us understand God’s future plan and the role of Israel after the return of Christ.
