This message explores the biblical foundation of the “six days of work” that precede the Sabbath. From creation onward, Scripture reveals a working God who made humanity in His image to live lives of meaningful labor, service, and stewardship. Work is shown not as a curse, but as a God-given calling that builds character, blesses others, and brings order and beauty into the world. In contrast to modern ideas that view work as something to escape, the Bible presents a balanced pattern of purposeful effort, avoiding both laziness and unhealthy overwork. Understanding God’s design for six days of work helps us better appreciate the rhythm of life He established and prepares us to more fully understand the gift of the Sabbath.
