Thanksgiving was founded upon an attitude of gratitude that reflected upon on the true source of the bounty that was celebrated on that Thanksgiving day going back to Plymouth, Massachusetts. George Washington, when giving the Thanksgiving proclamation, stated it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and to humbly implore His protection and favor. Where do we as a nation stand on this now?
