On the Day of Trumpets, two groups of people will hear the trumpets. One will hear a shofar, a terrifying sound of war and the other group will hear a silver trumpet, a joyful signal to assemble. It is important for us to know the difference and make sure we hear the right trumpet on that day. Seven characteristics of God's involvement in the fulfillment of this Feast Day.

Michael was an elder who most recently served the Roanoke, Virginia, congregation of the United Church of God, where he had served as pastor for five years. He and his wife, Rita, lived in Lansing, West Virginia. He was a retired chemist. They enjoyed hiking and biking.
