Unity is more important to God than most realize. The Father and Christ have perfect unity, and on this day of Pentecost we celebrate their wonderful gift of the holy spirit, which should lead to unity. We must allow the fruit of the spirit to unify us with God and with one another.

Jim serves as an elder in the Big Sandy (East Texas), Texarkana, TX, and Ruston, LA congregations. He and his wife Laurel also enjoy traveling and visiting other UCG congregations. He attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas from 1990 – 1994 and currently works in the IT department of a local hospital. He enjoys watching and playing sports, and loves working with children. He and Laurel direct UCG preteen Camp Gilmont.
