This sermon explores the need for and impact of Godly character on the use of authority. Several biblical examples showing both successes and failures are used to demonstrate that Godly authority is moderated by love, self-control, and a willingness to sacrifice for the unity and growth of others. The future two witnesses in Revelation illustrate that even immense divine power must be exercised with humility, discipline, and alignment with God's purpose. Ultimately, God will entrust authority only to those who develop His character, because only they can wield it righteously in this age and the age to come.
