What Constitutes a Kingdom?

Exactly what constitutes a kingdom? Jesus Christ came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, but what is that Kingdom?   Jesus approached His ministry with a sense of urgency. The positive good news of the Kingdom of God - and a call to action, which is to repent and to change and to believe - was the central message to anyone who would listen with open and attentive ears: "Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness..."
