What is Your Onesimus?

In the New Testament there are two Greek words that are translated to mean “test”. One refers to testing in order to approve, and the other means testing in order to break. When God tests us, He does so with the desire and confidence that we can pass. But what is the hardest test we could face in this life? Could forgiving someone who has severely wronged us be one of the most difficult tests to endure? Today let’s look at the book of Philemon to see what lessons we can learn about forgiveness and the testing of our faith.

Len Martin was ordained in 1999 and is presently the pastor of the United Church of God congregations in London, KY, Knoxville & Kingsport, TN. Len has previously pastored congregations in Worcester, MA, Seabrook, NH, Cambridge, Columbus, Mansfield, and Dayton, OH.

Len holds undergraduate degrees in engineering and information systems as well as an MBA in Finance. Len and his wife have been raised in the Church of God and have 5 children and 5 grandchildren.
