Steve was introduced to the church of God as a child and became a baptized member in 1982 at the age of 25. He has been married to his wife, Rhonda, for 44 years and has two grown children, Brett and Alyssa. After graduating from college, he worked as civil engineer until he retired in 2023. He currently serves as an elder in the Columbia, Maryland, congregation.
