Questions about why God allows suffering can be hard to answer. How do we, as Christians, reconcile the pain and suffering in this world with the Bible’s description of a loving and caring God? Can free will and a world without pain and suffering co-exist? What the Bible says about God, free will and suffering. 


 

Joe Greene

Joe has been a member of God’s Church since 1984.  He and his wife Brenda have spent their careers working with persons with disabilities of all ages.  Joe holds a Masters Degree in Education. Together, Joe and Brenda have been able to serve God’s people in Illinois, Wisconsin and now in Virginia.  Joe was ordained a local elder in April of 2011 and was hired by the United Church of God in 2023 to pastor the Richmond and Roanoke congregations in Virginia, along with serving as the Human Resource Manager for the Church.
