Why God Does Not Give More Gifts of the Spirit?

2 Corinthians 12:7 1 Corinthians 12, 13 and 14 God could reveal detailed prophecies to us.  He could bless people with unlimited wealth and great abilities to perform great works. Why doesn't He? Mostly He just gives us limited abilities to serve others. Why the limits?   Fred Kellers expounds scriptures that show there would be dangers in unlimited gifts given to human beings.
