Why is it that it looks impossible to have world peace? You know, when you and I look at today's world and the corruption that exists at all levels of society and of government, you know it is impossible to have world peace. But, but for Christ, for Christ's coming. I really appreciate to sermon it about doubts and fears. I usually call it FUD, fear, uncertainty, and doubt. FUD. It's actually easy to remember, but that's actually, actually, Satan's technique to create doubts.
How? By deceiving and deception, because he's got a master degree in deception. And therefore, he is the greatest, most clever creator of the vision, of deception, of doubt and fears and uncertainty. So I really appreciate to sermon it. But as we look at society today, why does it look impossible to have world peace? Because you and I cannot blame everything on Satan. I mean, it's easy to say. It's like he said, oh well, it was not my fault. It was the snake's fault. Satan made me do it. Well, you and I are free moral agents.
And the problem is, we do have, inherently in us, a carnal mind, which we have to overcome. Even Paul, at the end of chapter 7 of Romans, said, who will deliver me from this law of sin in my members? But for Christ. And so why do we have these wars and fightings amongst us? Because we human beings are basically selfish. We want our way. We want our passions. James chapter 4 describes that starting in verse 1, and it says, why are there wars amongst yourselves?
Let's get to James chapter 4 verse 1. Why do wars and fights come from among you? Don't they come from your desires for pleasure, that war in your members? So we have this selfishness, this desire of inherent pleasing self, lasting, coveting, and that leads to fights. And a little later, in verse 5, says, or do you think that Scripture says in vain, the Spirit which dwells in us yearns jealousy, and which Spirit is? The Spirit of man and man. That's the carnal mind that dwells in us. It has this tendency to do wrong. And what do we have to do?
We have to change to be humble. It says God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. You see, mankind is not wise. Oh, yes, they think they're very clever, but they have the wisdom of the world. James, in fact, in the previous chapter, or in the previous few words, if we don't look at the divide of the chapter from 3 to 4, his last few words were saying, Who is a wise and who is wise understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
True, godly wisdom has meekness, has teachability, has gentleness, has humility. And that is true wisdom. But if we have, as he reads in verse 14, if we have better envying and self-seeking in our hearts, that is the wisdom of the world. That's what he reads in verse 15. This is of the world. This is earthly, sensual, is of the devil. And this is what's predominant in today's society. That's the problem. That has not changed since the days of Adam and Eve. In fact, if you read about the story of the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11, that they became arrogant and said, Well, let's build up a tower to reach up to heaven.
It kind of reminds of the spirit of Satan in Isaiah, where he says, I will ascend and be like the Most High. The same spirit, demonic, arrogant, proud. That is the spirit that dwells in us, in us, yearns jealousy, desires that wrong wavelength. And you see, we know God, we read in Genesis 11, had to, because it says, you read there, and it says, they'll do everything.
They'll do anything. And so what did he do? He had to kind of slow them down, kind of turn the clock back. And how did he do that? By creating different languages. But today, you have Google Translate, you have all these things, and basically everybody is kind of talking nearly the same language. Daniel said, and knowledge shall be increased. Oh yes, knowledge has been increased. You don't know something. Google! And you've got it. Knowledge has increased. But knowledge is not wisdom. Knowledge has increased, but wisdom has not increased.
Because this is the wisdom of the world, which is demonic, which is sensual. But the wisdom that is from God, you read in James 3 verse 17. In other words, the wisdom that is from above, from God, is first pure. I mean, there's no evil intent. It's pure. And then peaceable. And that's why we don't have peace in the world today. Because there's no godly wisdom. There's none. Our leaders are corrupt and are corruptible. They're not just corrupt, they're corruptible. We live in a society of double standards.
One person can do something wrong, completely evil, and they can walk away scot-free. Another one does something wrong, maybe greater, maybe less. It's not for me to judge. And he's hammered to death. Hypocrisy. All over the society. Corruption and being corruptible. That will not be so in the world tomorrow. Because Christ is going to come and establish his rule on earth. Look at Zechariah chapter 14. Zechariah chapter 14. Right towards the end, the second lost book of the Old Testament, Zechariah 14 and in verse 9.
And the Lord shall be king over all the earth. The Lord, Jesus Christ, will be king on the earth. He's going to come soon. By the way, that is Lord in caps. Why HWH? Which is Christ. So why HWH can apply to Christ and to the Father. You've got to read the context. But Christ is going to come and rule. And you'll be king over all the earth. In that day it shall be the Lord is one. And his name one.
Thank God that our Heavenly Father has delegated to his Son the responsibility to come to earth and sort this mess up. That's what we could say. Hallelujah. Thank God. Thank God. But when he comes to earth, he will find resistance. Oh boy, will he find resistance. You just have to read in Revelation chapter 19. Turn with me to Revelation chapter 19. You can see him coming to earth.
Christ coming to earth. It's very clear that it's Christ. He's the Lamb. He's coming. And then he says, he's got on his robe, verse 16, he's King of kings and Lord of lords. And you see a little lighter in verse 19. The beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against Christ, who sat on the horse and against his army. There will be resistance.
And you and I know by reading Zechariah that as they stand up, they don't have a chance because their eyes will melt in their very sockets, their tongue will melt in their own mouth. There will be such a zap action from Christ himself. They won't even have time to flick their fingers or to push any button, any more buttons that have already pushed. Thank God, Christ is coming.
And you know what? You and I, God will, will then rule with him. In Revelation 20 verse 4, it talks about us being resurrected. And towards the verse 4 says, And they, that means those resurrected beings or changed beings, lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years on planet earth.
They lived and reigned for a thousand years. You and I will reign with Christ in a millennium. The question is, are we qualifying now to rule with them?
Oh yeah, we can sit in church. But when you look at parables, like of the ten versions, some were ready and some were not.
And we need to be ready and stand till the end without doubt. We gotta stand till the end without doubt and fear.
And Christ will rule. Yes, we read in Revelation 12 verse 5. Revelation 12 verse 5. He says, He's coming to rule. There's no doubt about it. No doubt. No uncertainty. No fad. It's for sure. It's a fact. Thank God it's a fact.
He's coming to rule. And you know what's going to happen? Initially, the armies will fight him, but look as things move along. Read in Isaiah chapter 2 verse 2. Isaiah chapter 2 verse 2.
Now it came to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord's house, well, let's interpret the code. The mountain represents a kingdom. The Lord's house means God, the kingdom of God. You see, that the kingdom of God shall be established on top of all the other mountains, of all the other nations, of all the other governments.
So the government of God, the universal government of God, that you and I pray, let thy kingdom come and let thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The kingdom of God will come to earth and will rule on earth. And it says, it shall be exalted above the hills, above all the other smaller nations. And all nations shall flow to it. Yes, initially there will be some resistance, and that will be handled with a rod of iron. But then people start realizing, hey, there is a real hope here, and the nations will flow to it.
They flow to it because they want to flow to it. They're not forced. They desire to go to the kingdom of God. Where the kingdom of God is established, where the government of God is, think about it, where that special temple or congress, or you think about it in modern technology, that so-called White House, that special temple.
I'm just using terms to bring it to clarity in our minds. They'll go to it. Why? Because it says, yeah, in verse 3, many people come and say, come, let us go to the mountain of the Lord. Let's go to where God's kingdom is and His spirit beings that are ruling over us as physical human beings. To the house of the God of Jacob, He will teach us His ways. He will teach us His ways.
So Christ is coming not only as king of kings, but as teacher of teachers. As the chief teacher of all other students and teachers, and in a sense, it's very similar to the word rabbi. He's the teacher, He's the master, He's the one that teaches people. And we shall walk in His paths. We shall walk the way. For out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
You read a little later in Isaiah 11 verse 9, when it's talking about the lamb and the wolf dwelling together, and it says, the earth will be full of the knowledge of God. Isaiah 11 verse 9 says, the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. How will the nations and the world be full of the knowledge of God? It's like a magic wand zap!
Now, through teaching, teaching, Christ will teach, and other delegated teachers under Him will teach the rest of mankind. And those delegated teachers under Him, God willing, will be you and I. We're going to teach the truth. Remember the story when Christ was before Pilate, and Pilate said, what is truth? I mean, today you watch the news and he says, what is truth? I think you can understand what Pilate was saying in that political context, because surely that politics of that day were similar to politics of today, and people say, what is truth? I don't know why you don't know anymore what is true.
Thy word is truth. God's word is true. And that's what we're going to teach. That is the foundation of knowledge, God's word. And then the earth will be full of, as it says in verse 9, of the knowledge of God, which is truth. And then you can bold, because God's word is the foundation of knowledge, you can bold on other knowledge. All the other signs and knowledge that's there will be based on truth, not on lies, not on deceptions that you can't believe, and therefore people are doubtful. The question is, how will this re-education occur in a millennium? Let's look at a few points to address that question.
How will this re-education occur in a millennium? In first place, in John chapter 8 verse 32, John chapter 8 verse 32, we read, Thy word is truth. He says, And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. How? Because of God's word. Abide in my word. Verse 31, And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 17 verse 17 says the same thing, but even more plainly, straightforward. John 17, 17. Sentify them by your truth.
Your word is truth. The Bible reveals the way of peace, and it's got to be based on truth. It's got to be based on God's way of love for mankind. That's what God's laws are. Very simple. God's laws are love, outgoing concern for others, towards God and towards fellow man. But you know, in this world, people are very wise.
Oh yeah! They're very wise. But you know what? Their wisdom is fake wisdom, because it's wisdom of the world. And so when they look at God's wisdom, look in 1 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 19, where it says, when they look at God's wisdom. 1 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 19. The wisdom of the swoldish foolishness with God. And likewise, they look at God's wisdom and they say it's foolishness. See? It runs both ways. You see, what we have, people in the swold are very clever, very smart.
Man, they can spin a story around you that really is believable. But if it's not based on truth, don't believe it. That's what Satan was spinning to Eve, a story that looked very believable, but it was not believable, because God said, if you eat of the fruit of the tree, you shall die. Bingo! You don't need to spin wars around it. But Satan is subtle, and span a story around it that became so believable to Eve, and she was deceived.
Look at 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 7. 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 7. Talking about people in the swold, and in this case, talking about people turning God's truth into a wrong connotation, it says, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. That's really a problem today in the world. There's a lot of Christians out there learning, learning, learning, studying, studying, studying, but they don't come to the knowledge of the truth.
For various reasons. Number one, they're not called, and God hasn't opened their mind to understand it. Secondly, they use some of the modern Bible translations, which I dislike. I think God abhors, because they twist the truth of the Bible. And regrettably, a lot of people in the church today are using these translations, which are not good. And we've got to be careful with that, brethren, because right at the end of the book, a relation says, do not add or take anything from this. And people are adding or taking it and putting it into Bibles. And then our young people and our children are reading it.
Oh, yeah, it's so easy to read. Of course it is. But the true meaning often is twisted. So we've got to be careful, brethren. And so what do we have? We've got a lot of learning. Oh, we've got a lot of size. Oh, there's all this size. But a lot of it is twisted. It's got its own bias.
It is amazing. So what is the cause therefore?
What is the cause therefore? Well, it's our carnal mine, yes. But our carnal mine is kind of pushed just over the edge by the great deceiver, Satan himself. Revelation 12, verse 9 says, Satan the devil, he is the deceiver of the whole world. The whole world, just not a few people in the world, not just our, well, 80%.
The whole world, coming from South Africa to bring more meaning into that expression, the South Africans would know, because I would use the word all in Afrikaans, and I would say, alles, which means all, but it's just a Germanic top expression that is very powerful and says, it's everything, all. A boring dose, few that God has called and opened their minds to understand.
Mankind is deceived. And that's why you read when Paul talks to the Thessalonians 5, verse 21, says, prove all things. We have to prove all things. We've got to dig into God's word and prove. But that's why when we're proving these things, we've got to be careful of these subtle translations, because you can be led astray to other things. Why? Because some of these translators or groups of translators, they either use already corrupt manuscripts, like the Alexandria manuscript or Mark Daniel Babbelers, in UNESCO United manuscripts, which are already corrupted, instead of using the majority of the manuscripts, which they all basically agree.
But then, let go a little further. They make it easier for you to understand how nice that sounds. But you see, by making it easier for you to understand, they're changing ever so slightly the meaning in some critical scriptures to their background or their baggage of beliefs they've had from the world, and change those words into meanings that, yeah, the typical Christian world says, oh, well, I understand that, but they twist in God's word.
We've got to be careful. So we've got to prove all things. And yeah, it's a big problem in today's world. Is that false teachings and false ideas are allowed to proliferate. That will not be allowed under Christ. Felices will not continue under Christ. People saying weird ideas, they'll be stopped. That kind of may sound a little strange when you come from a belief, and we come from a belief, for free speech. It's free speech if you're speaking the truth, but it's not free speech if you're lying through your teeth.
And Christ will not allow that. Christ will not allow that. Read with me in Jeremiah 16 verse 19. Jeremiah 16 verse 19. People in the world tomorrow, look at what they say in Jeremiah 16 verse 19. O Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come to you from the ends of the earth and say. In other words, people of all the other nations will come because there's new re-education. There will be a millennial re-education. What I'm really talking about, brethren, today is about the millennial re-education which will reoccur under Christ. And those people, when they come to the kingdom of God, to that mountain, to the Lord's mountain, to learn, and they will say, surely our fathers have inherited lies, worthless and unprofitable things.
That's the soul today. There's a lot of lies, a lot of things that are worthless, and a lot of things that are unprofitable. And Christ will clean that up. And you and I will have a responsibility under Christ to help him clean that up. Thank God, because that will bring peace to the world. You see, God has given us principles and laws which are for our own good. You read that in Deuteronomy 10, verses 12 through 13.
For example, I'll give you principles for your own good. But mankind will have to come to a point in the world tomorrow. In other words, in the world during the millennium. Mankind will have to come to a point to change their ways of thinking. Yes, Christ will come stop those armies.
But you know what? People have been utterly engraved in their minds, in their hearts, wrong concepts. It will take years to unlearn falsehood. And so we'll need teachers, you and I, helping Christ to do that job of teaching humanity, surviving humanity, our children and grandchildren, the truth, re-educating them on true values, God's values. Isaiah 55, look at verse 7 through 9. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts, God's thoughts, are not your thoughts, nor your ways are they God's ways, my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. In the world tomorrow, God's ways and God's way of thinking and God's principles will be taught.
And therefore, people will have to unlearn all these things. But that's our job today as well. We in the church have to go through that process today to unlearn a lot of wrong things, and change till we all come to the full stature of Christ in the unity of faith. Read with me Ephesians chapter 4. Ephesians chapter 4. Starting in verse 11, God has given us his ministry. God has established his church. Not that the leaders of the church are there to dictate over you, but he has given us a responsibility. And that is for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, of serving. Verse 12, Diaconia is serving for the edifying of the body of Christ, for the edifying for the building of the church. Till we all come to the unity of the faith and to the knowledge of the Son of God. You see, today we have to go through this process under difficult situations. In many ways, just by ourselves, scattered all over the world, we have to go through this learning process. Then you and I will be able to teach the world in the world tomorrow under Christ.
And think about it. What a wonderful opportunity God is giving us.
We are going to be lords under the Lord of Lords. Lords means teachers, means priests, means teachers.
Till we all come to the unity of faith, mankind in the world tomorrow will come to that unity of faith and to the knowledge of the Son of God.
That's why at the end of Peter it talks as, grow in grace and knowledge. Exactly. Knowledge of the Son of Man. Not just knowledge of electricity and of computers, but knowledge of the Son of Man. In other words, grow in what Christ is. Learn what Christ is like so that you can imitate Him. And therefore you are growing in that application of what Christ is like. And that is goodness and kindness and love. And that is grace. Graciousness. That's where we got to grow. So till we all come to that unity of the faith, that knowledge of who Christ is and how He is, so that we all come to a perfect man. That is the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That's why you and I don't compare ourselves with one another. You don't compare yourself with another minister. You compare yourself with Christ. He is our standard. So that's what we got to do. We got to be looking to Christ, looking to stand in the truth, but always in a loving, kind way. And that is not easy. That is not easy. We all slip up. But that is what we're learning now so that you and I can teach others in the world tomorrow that you and I will be able to say, this is the way. Walk in it. Because you know the way. You've gone through it. You see, because God gives us His mind, His spirit, His essence, His power. And He says in 2 Timothy 1.7, God's spirit is not a spirit of fear, but it's a spirit of power and a spirit of a sound mind and of love. And God is giving us that sound mindness. That is re-educating our conscience. You see, the education starts with re-educating, or shall I use it in more modern terminology, reprogramming your conscience to God's ways, using God's Holy Spirit. That's what we're going to do. And that is the duty of man. Solomon said right at the end of Ecclesiastes 12.13, and this is the duty of man to fear God and keep His commandments. In other words, to have a respect for God, because God cares for us, so we in return respect Him, because He cares for us, and we obey His commandments because they are love, and He only wants the good for us. And that is the truth. That is what we have to teach others in the world tomorrow. You see, Christ will come with two roles. You read that in Revelation 19 verse 16, as king of kings, one role, and another role as Lord of Lords. Christ will teach. Even David said that. Look at Psalm 25. Psalm 25 verse 8 through 10. Psalm 25 verse 8 through 10.
Psalm 25 verse 8 through 10. Good and upright is the Lord. Therefore He teaches sinners. Look at the word teaches. This teaching is the act, the responsibility, the job description that you and I will have in the world tomorrow. Some will probably be kings, but some will be teachers. So maybe us in this later age, mostly of us, will be teachers. That's my speculation. So we have the training now to teach others. We have the capability of using technology, etc., in the right way to teach. And not only teach theory, but teach practice, because we've practiced and we lived under tough situations. Therefore we can teach. And then continuing. Verse 9, The humble, he guides injustice. The humble, he teaches his ways. In the King James Version, he uses the word the meek. He guides injustice. The meek, he teaches his way. You see, there's a teaching responsibility. So Christ will teach, and you and I under Christ, we will also teach. We will rule under him. We have scriptures like Revelation 5 verse 10. I don't have to go there. You know those probably just off my heart. But look at Malachi chapter 2 verse 7. Malachi chapter 2 verse 7. Sometimes it's good to look at some forgotten scriptures that maybe we don't look at that often and just read them. And Malachi is one of those. Malachi chapter 2 verse 7. You probably read it many times, but look at what it says here. For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge. The lips of a minister. The lips of God's people, the Lord's, the Lord of the Lord, the Lord's, the priests, see the Lord is a priest, should keep knowledge. And people should seek the law from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. You see, so the duty of a priest is to keep knowledge, is to teach, so the Lord's will teach.
We heard in the sermonette, or was talking about doubting Thomas in John 20, remember, and then Christ just appeared there. But you know what? In a millennium, you will probably do that as well. Look at Isaiah 30 verse 20 through 22. And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the word of affliction, yet all your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers, your eyes shall hear a word beyond you saying, This is the way. Woke in it. This is the spirit being, which is you, changed as a spirit being, and you are somehow going to do it in a kind, loving way, that you are not going to frighten him out of his scheme. You are going to do it in a kind way, because you are loving you, you are going to do it, that, oh, there you are, this is the way. Woke in it. And then when he is not looking, you are gone. So the saints will also appear and disappear, very probably. And he says, all will see eye to eye. Look at Isaiah 52. Isaiah 52 verse 7 and 8. Isaiah 52 verse 7 and 8. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns. Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, and their voices shall sing together. For they shall see eye to eye when the Lord brings back Zion. And you know, you and I will have a responsibility to help with that. What a blessing. You know how God's Spirit will teach God's law into people's hearts and people's minds. We saw how the earth will be full of knowledge. And people will have a whole new perspective because God's covenant, God's new covenant, God's understanding will be written in their minds and hearts, and they will have that new perspective, new outlook through God's Holy Spirit. Look at Psalm 94. Psalm 94. Psalm 94. verse 12. Psalm 94. verse 12. verse 12.
Blessed is the man whom you instruct, O Lord, and teach out of your law. They will be teaching of the truth in the world tomorrow.
Jesus Christ will come to re-educate the whole world, and you and I will have a responsibility in helping him to do that. God willing, if you and I are part of the first fruits.
Look at Isaiah 29 verse 24. Isaiah 29 verse 24. 29 verse 24.
These also who err in spirit will come to understanding. Those people that were doing things wrong and that understood it incorrectly, they will come to know the truth. And those who complained will learn doctrine.
There will be a learning process at an individual person by person, and that requires individual attention person by person. Christ cannot do it all by himself. Sounds strange. That's why Christ has you and I being trained today to help those people individually, person by person, to help them to change, to grow, so that all earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord. He will teach us as we read in Isaiah 2 verse 3. Brethren, mankind will learn the wisdom from above, which yields peace. There will be world peace because deception will be put away, will not be allowed, because cycle will be put in jail for a thousand years. Mankind will learn that God's way is the best. There will be a complete re-education in a millennium. Thank God.
