“I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it” (Ezekiel 22:30). What lessons can we glean from biblical examples and what is our Father looking for in us collectively as well as individually? I. Ezekiel’s Inspired Words Are Relevant to Us; II. Sterling Examples Who Stood in the Breach; III. Standing in the Breach by Embracing Our Father’s Way While Resisting the Prevailing Zeitgeist. What about each one of us? Am I and are we the man or woman God is looking for? Or must He look to someone else? We must not be of those who draw back. Our Father has no pleasure in those who draw back. We must stand in the breach and say with the apostle Paul: “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). The good news is that when we stand in the breach, we are not doing it alone. Jesus intercedes on our behalf. In the end, He is the one who stands in the breach with us. As children of the Most High, we have the most powerful protectors that ever was or ever will be, and that is our Father and Jesus Christ to His right hand. Let’s commit and recommit to stand in the breach until our Father sends back our Brother Jesus Christ to this earth as King of Kings and as Lord of Lords!
