Words Fitly Spoken

Drawing on an experience from a 1984 trip to China, we’ll consider how a witty rebuke from an elderly Black woman corrected the speaker’s entitled complaining and put his minor inconveniences into perspective. The encounter also serves as a springboard for a broader lesson on the biblical principle of "words fitly spoken," and using our words effectively.
