2025 Feast of Tabernacles: Blolé, Côte d’Ivoire
The Feast was a joyous reunion, bringing together three congregations from across the Côte d’Ivoire.
On a hill above the tiny village of Blolé in the far-west of Ivory Coast, 57 members held the Feast of Tabernacles and Eighth Day. This was a joyous reunion, bringing together three congregations from across the country, plus a couple visiting from the United States. Blolé lies in the stunning “Land of the 18 Mountains,” with big skies, beautiful mountains, and surrounded by equatorial forests.
Nine speakers brought to life a future of which this world is presently ignorant, urging us to hang on to this vision throughout the year. Several Bible studies were given, covering topics such as: baptism, similarities and differences between the Millennium and the Great White Throne Judgment, and what it means for God to write His law on our hearts.
A team of hard-working women managed procuring the food from the neighboring city of Man, and prepared generous and delicious dishes for all assembled.
A Feast without hiccups does not exist, and this Feast was no exception. Roughly 20 young people lodged in tents, while the remainder stayed in neighboring Blolé. These tent-dwellers were awakened at least once by a torrent of rain that drove them to a nearby shelter, squeezing their sleeping bags dry.
The hardest part of the Feast is saying goodbye on the Eighth Day, when no one wants to go. But we shared phone numbers and promised to stay in touch.
