2025 Feast of Tabernacles: Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
An abundance of fellowship, bonding as brothers and sisters in Christ and feasting (physical and spiritual) occurred throughout the Feast of Tabernacles in Lethbridge, Alberta.
This year the Feast was held in Lethbridge, Alberta for the first time. Lethbridge is nestled on the prairies in southern Alberta just east of the Rocky Mountains in the middle of the Chinook zone. The weather was warm and sunny for most of the Feast, cooling off as the end approached.
Services were held in the Sandman Hotel ballroom. We were blessed with an attendance of 129 plus 20 Zoom connections to those who were unable to attend in person. Attendees came from the United States, Netherlands, Philippines and Canada.
Thanks to Dan Deininger, the coordinator for the Glacier, Montana Feast site, we were privileged to have three elders from the Glacier site share part of their Feast time with the brethren in Lethbridge. Everyone appreciated them coming and sharing the speaking assignments. The messages at the Feast focused on the blessings God will give to His children in the Kingdom and how we need to remain strong and focused on the promises our Father has given us. Sermons also discussed how we will be teachers in the future and the need to patiently wait for the Kingdom, remaining faithful to the end.
We were blessed with special music each day, including solos, duets, a lady’s group and a choir. The congregation shared three meals together, including a senior’s dinner, Canadian Thanksgiving, and a soup and sandwich lunch between services on the Eighth Day.
As the week progressed the children were invited to activities including a climbing wall and a trampoline park. The teens and singles had a pool party and everyone was invited to bowling—Canadian style (five-pin). In addition to these activities, there was a social room where, in the evenings, brethren played cards and worked on a puzzle, completing it before the end of the Feast.
On Friday, 41 ladies spent the afternoon at a formal lady’s tea. Friday evening Feastgoers were invited to start the Sabbath with a two-hour-long hymn sing.
During free time, some toured Waterton National Park and the mountain scenery, the Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump, the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden and the famous CPR railway bridge among other things.
We are thankful to those who came and made it such a great Feast.
