2025 Feast of Tabernacles: Porto Seguro, Brazil
The site for the Feast in Brazil this year was held in the village of Porto Seguro, Brazil.
Porto Seguro, located in the far south area of Bahia, was the site for the Feast in Brazil this year. It is a quaint village known for being the first landing point of Portuguese navigator, Pedro Álvares Cabral in April 22, 1500. The area is safe and is a popular vacation spot for families and young people.
There were 51 brethren in attendance from different areas: 12 from Maloca de Moscow, 11 from central and southern Brazil, 16 from the United States, six from Angola and six from Chile. This is the second year that Angolan brethren were granted visas to travel to the Feast in Brazil.
Messages were given in Portuguese or English, depending on who spoke, and they were automatically translated live to whatever language you chose to listen in (over 50 languages were available), with the use of an Artificial Intelligence translator tool.
The festival’s main theme was the family and how to build strong family relationships. Topics like reconciliation begins at home, striving to be a peacemaker, how to be an overcomer and the need to stay close to God in these troubling times were some of the core messages. The prophetic roll out of events and related encouraging meaning of the Feast and the Eighth Day were abundantly expounded.
Feast activities included a family welcome evening, a 10-pin bowling night for the young adults, a children’s party, a family cheese and wine evening, a boat ride along the coast, a ladies’ tea and a health presentation!
Definitely, one of the highlights of the Feast was the abundance of beautiful special music every single service, and often two pieces of special music! Also, a highlight was the ordination of Giovane and Laura Macedo as deacon and deaconess.
At the end of the Feast, we all met on the beach to watch the sunset and to say our farewells. We plan to have the Feast in the same town next year, and welcome anyone to join us at this lovely and safe site.
Até o próximo ano!
