2026 Camp Report: Cotubic
This year, 91 campers, 51 dedicated staff and 10 mini-campers gathered at Camp Cotubic for an unforgettable week focused on living in the Zone and diving deeper into what it means when Christ says, “Follow Me.” From start to finish, the week was filled with energy, encouragement and spiritual growth.
Each day began with Christian living classes centered on this year’s theme, “Follow Me.” Throughout the week, we explored what it truly means to follow Jesus Christ—not simply believing in Him but walking as He walked.
Following the morning classes, campers jumped into a variety of activities. Returning favorites like the high ropes course, climbing wall and zipline, Speedaway, Ultimate Frisbee, dance, waterfront, basketball, arts and crafts and the Amazing Race were as popular as ever. Horseback riding returned for its second year and once again proved to be one of the week’s most popular activities, giving many campers an opportunity to experience something entirely new. Forecasts called for Thursday’s “Grill and Chill” to be washed out, yet as the event began, the storm simply dissipated. Not a single drop of rain fell.
From the first day through the final dance, there was a genuine atmosphere of encouragement, respect and enthusiasm. Older campers naturally looked after younger ones, friendships formed quickly and dorms became places where teens genuinely wanted to encourage one another.
Our staff once again went above and beyond—not only in organizing and leading activities but also in mentoring, guiding and modeling what it looks like to walk with God. Every game, meal and Christian living class was intentionally designed to reinforce the camp atmosphere while encouraging teens in their walk with God.
As campers returned home, our prayer was that “Follow Me” wouldn’t remain simply this year’s camp theme, but instead become a daily decision to follow Jesus Christ at school, at home, among friends and wherever life takes them. Thank you to the parents for entrusting us with your teens for the week and to everyone whose prayers and support made Camp Cotubic possible. We’re looking forward to next time!

Joshua Creech
Joshua Creech along with his wife Lizzy live in central Indiana. He serves as Pastor for the United Church of God congregations in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Indiana. Joshua worked for 9 years as a Senior Financial Accountant for Western and Southern Financial Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University. Joshua and Lizzy have four children.
