Christ’s anointing at Bethany, an act of worship by Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, is an example for us. She anointed Christ in preparation for His death. The timing of this event on the 10th of Nisan is significant. In these days before the Passover, we are contemplating our part in Christ’s sacrifice. We must show the same, complete devotion that Mary demonstrated.

Andy Diemer is the pastor of the Fort Myers, Florida congregation and the associate pastor serving the congregations in Ft. Lauderdale and Vero Beach, Florida. He served as the pastor of the churches in New England from 2014 to 2021. He was baptized into the Church in 1981 and ordained as an elder in 2011. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Cleveland State University. He had a thirty-year career in manufacturing before being hired by the UCG in 2014.
