Godly Sorrow Produces Repentance

The Corinthians were made sorry by Paul’s letter of rebuke, but it produced good results. For their godly sorrow led to repentance. Godly sorrow is an intense sense of sadness over sins we have committed. It is the moment of coming to grips with our sin. It is difficult to bear, but good things come of it. “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation” (2 Corinthians 7:10).
