A Prelude to Feasting and Restoring Oneness to the Family of God

The joy of Tabernacles is the fruit of Kippur; it makes the enjoyment of the Feast possible an old rabbi once said. This day is more than hunger and thirst; it reminds us that we are empty and need God to fill us. Afflicting our souls during this day is designed to show us our reliance on God and help us draw close to Him.

Ryan was born and raised in central Georgia. Baptized in 1997, he is a fourth-generation member of the Church of God. Ryan and wife, Nissa, have three children and one grandchild. Ryan serves as Pastor for the Youngstown (Ohio), Wheeling (West Virginia), and Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) congregations. Ryan also served as the Council Reporter from May 2022 - May 2025.
