The first part of the Passover ceremony involves washing of another person’s feet. The practice goes back to the time of Abraham and ancient Israel. Christ incorporated foot washing into the New Testament Passover service. By participating it teaches an attitude of service, the principle of cleanness, humility, and gratitude. The Bible tells us that the feet of those who preach the gospel are beautiful! So is the foot washing service and all that it represents and teaches.
