In Matthew 5, Jesus Christ makes a statement that is a challenging one to accept as humans. "Turn the other Cheek." What did He mean by this statement? What does it mean contextually when compared with the totality of scripture?

Jim serves as an elder in the Big Sandy (East Texas), Texarkana, TX, and Ruston, LA congregations. He and his wife Laurel also enjoy traveling and visiting other UCG congregations. He attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas from 1990 – 1994 and currently works in the IT department of a local hospital.
