Warm greetings again. Had some good news. We got through all the announcements and first message pretty early, so we're gonna be able to finish early today, too. It's kind of like the story of the Roman captain who was in charge of this galleon and he was going across the Mediterranean and all the men were rowing and rowing and this heavy galleon. There were like 40 men on each side and they're pushing and pushing. And then the captain says, stop the galleon and it stops and he says, I have good news and bad news for you men. Well, first of all, for lunch you're gonna have a double portion of rum and all of them. Oh, wonderful, our great captain. And you're gonna have a double portion of your meal. Wow, great, our wonderful captain. He says, now for the bad news. After lunch, I plan to take up water skiing. So, I'll let it sink in a little bit here. Okay, so I do have some good news and that is that we're gonna be able to finish, but we do have a very important message right before the feast time. We're actually fleeing to our place of safety, right? We're leaving the world. This is a rehearsal for the future. We have to leave everything behind and we're gonna be in this special bubble of protection that God gives his people and the different feasts around the world. And so, it's important to take a look at the world around us. See where we're at in Bible prophecy as best as we understand it, because the world doesn't know what is going on, just like Christ said that in the days of Noah, people are going about doing all kinds of things and they they weren't aware of the world in which they lived and that God was going to intervene very quickly. People are not going to be aware when God intervenes in world affairs as well. So I've made up these graphs of the 22 fulfilled prophecies as well as we understand them and the 22 prophecies left to be carried out.

So as we leave to go to the feasts, let's first analyze the world that we see around us. As Jesus Christ warned in Luke 21, verse 34 through 36, he says, But take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and the cares of this life, just people having a good time and forgetting what kind of world we live in, and that day come on you unexpectedly, for it will come as a snare on all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Now I'd like to always picture what we just talked about a snare. We don't use snares very much, but in ancient times, one of the ways that they were able to catch all kinds of fowls, these birds that you can eat, was in the woods they would put some meals, some grains, and then they had a rope that they made into a lasso, and then put it around the seeds and the meal, the grains, and then somebody would hide in the bushes with one end of the lasso.

And of course then they would cover it up with leaves, and they would just wait. And sure enough, birds have good eyesight. Pretty soon they look down there, oh boy, look at those grains. So they come, and usually they look around, they don't see anybody, and so they'll start pecking and pecking, and again, and all of a sudden the lasso is pulled and it catches one of its feet.

And for as much as it can flap its wings, it is caught. Well, it's saying here that with that quickness, the world is going to be caught in this trap. The end time is going to come, and people aren't really prepared for it at all. Notice it says at the last sentence, watch therefore and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man.

Talking about when Christ returns, that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things. So there is a way to escape what is going to come. And we know if a person is faithful, God is going to protect them during these periods, these catastrophes that are going to happen on the earth. Paul also reminded us, but you, brethren, are not in darkness so that this day should overtake you as a thief. Therefore, let us not sleep as others do, but let us watch and be sober, watching world events again.

It's talking, yes, you have to be spiritually alert, but that includes watching, just like Christ said about the fig tree. As soon as the figs start sprouting there, the leaves start appearing, you know that summer is not far away. So the signs of the times is important to be aware. The Apostle Peter adds, and so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed, as a light that shines in a dark place until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Second Peter, chapter 1, verse 19. So God's word includes prophecies, and it says it is like a light that shines in a dark place. It gives us hope because it is the light that shines upon the future that we can look to. Now we don't know everything about what's going to happen, but we do know the conclusion of the things. God has already put the conclusions of what is going to happen.

So let's go through. Actually, I just realized that I was doing all the graphics and working. Actually, we had 21, not 22, so I'd like to correct that. 21 fulfilled prophecies, and 21 prophecies left to be... Oh, I do have 22 at the end. So let's see. Oh, I see what I did. I didn't put... I do have 22 here, but I skipped after number 12, so I didn't catch that typo. So it is 22, but it says 21 at the end because there's one here that's not numbered.

So you can just put maybe number 22 there in the box between 12 and 13. So let's go forward and look at the prophecies that have been fulfilled, because a lot of things have happened, especially in this past century. And actually, it's been like two centuries when some of these prophecies started to be fulfilled. The first one is the preeminence since 1800 of Great Britain and the U.S., and to a lesser degree, the rest of modern Israel.

God promised he would bless these tribes in the latter days. And there would be things that would be happening, according to the promises, that he was going to bless the descendants of Abraham before the end times would appear. There in Genesis 49, we can read the prophecy that God gave. Genesis 49. Verse 1, it says, And Jacob called his sons, and said, Gather together, that I may tell you what shall befall you in the last days.

So this was a prophecy in the future. It wasn't going to happen during their days.

They basically lived and died in Egypt. They were just part of that first generation in Egypt. There'd be many generations, around 400 years. And so they didn't see it fulfilled, but this was a prophecy for the future. So the preeminence since 1800 of Great Britain and the U.S. and to a lesser degree the rest of modern Israel, until its moral decline and lesser dominance as unstable nations obtained nuclear bombs. And this is what is happening, that after World War II, actually World War II ended in the Pacific with dropping two atomic bombs. But that just started this race for nations to gather this type of understanding and information. And for the past 70 years or so, the world has been able to maintain just a few nations with these atomic bombs, but not anymore. Now, the genie is out of the lamp, and you have North Korea. Now, I don't know if you heard yesterday, but they want to test a hydrogen bomb over the Pacific. Absolute crazy person. And what is going to happen? But you see, all of this really started in 1945 with the invention of the atomic bomb. And now you not only have North Korea with these bombs, you also have Iran that is just around the corner from getting it. And that means in the Middle East area. So this prophecy is part of the preeminence, the blessings that have come on modern Israel, but also the removal of these blessings in a gradual way. We go to the second one. The U.S. and Great Britain would lose many of their strategic foreign ports and influence to maintain world peace. The pride of power would be broken. And so, you see, Hong Kong was turned over to the Chinese. That was a very important port that Great Britain had. The U.S. has returned to Panama Canal and many other possessions around the world. The third fulfillment is of the sixth resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire with Hitler and Mussolini from 1922 to 1945. So God prophesied there would be the seven revivals of the Roman Empire. The last one, the sixth one, as we understand, again, looking through history, was Hitler and Mussolini. Mussolini declared he was restoring the Holy Roman Empire, and they signed an agreement with the Vatican. Hitler also signed an agreement with the Vatican.

The fourth is the knowledge explosion from 1900 on. People that lived before the 1900s, they lived like most people lived thousands of years ago. People had farms, you had to go to a well, electricity was virtually unknown, Edison had just started maybe electrifying a little part of New York, but the rest of the world, it was all animal power and wind power, if you had any of the windmills. But people lived in a pretty primitive way. But after 1900s, or 1900, with the discoveries of Edison, with the light bulb, electricity, generators, when we were taking Risa back, let's see, I guess, yes, it was on the Feast of Trumpets, and we're talking about how Puerto Rico, the island, has virtually lost all of its electricity. And those, what they call transformers, have just basically been knocked down, and these transformers, as we were coming to her place, going up Ball Street, we were all looking, how many transformers, it's these round barrels that are top of the telephone poles, and those are the transformers that the energy has to reach for it to charge up and to reach the next couple of blocks. If you knock a transformer out, you knock out all the electricity of that area. Well, in Puerto Rico, they say like 80 percent of all the transformers have been knocked out. And so, Edison was the one that got the transformers going, the dynamos, and electrified the world. And you have Bell with the telephone, the Wright brothers with the airplane, Einstein with his theory of relativity, and E equals MC square, which was the way that the atomic bomb eventually was able to be developed. You have Thomas Watson, the founder of IBM, and basically the computer age. Then you have another Watson and Crick, discovery of the DNA, genetics, and how it works. Then we have Google with what is artificial intelligence and the internet and the world we live in. So there has been a knowledge explosion, and Daniel Four said that in the end times, knowledge would increase. Actually, the term is knowledge would explode, talking about exponential growth. So that's happened already. The fifth, the enormous increase in world transportation, because in Daniel 12, Four, it says, a man will run to and fro on the earth. He's just going to see massive transportation at the end time. Again, 100 years ago, basically people had to go on horse.

Virtually, the car was still a great luxury. So you had basically horse-drawn carriages. Not today. By land, we have approximately one billion cars circulating every day on the earth.

By water, we have 53,000 ships around the earth. And by air, 100,000 airplanes fly every day.

So, yes, people are going to and fro. There's no denial that that's describing the world today.

Then the sixth prophecy, the establishment of Israel in 1948, and Jerusalem as the Jewish capital, 1967. That's when the Jews in that sixth-day war were able to conquer the rest of Jerusalem. And so it became the capital. That's very important for Bible prophecy. The Jews had to return to Jerusalem, because there are a lot of prophecies that are going to happen in that area. If it was still run by Arabs, if it was populated by Arabs, like basically a century ago, there were hardly any Jews there. Jerusalem was an Arab capital, Muslim capital. Not today. The seventh, the Middle East becomes the focus of constant conflicts. Again, a century ago, 1917, during World War I, that area of Israel, what they call Palestine, was a sleepy, backwater area of the Arab world. No real industry, no real agriculture, mostly desert, because of the erosion of all the years of cutting down trees. So it was an ecological disaster. Not today. It's a great power in the world. And Israel also has atomic bombs.

So it can defend itself and also carry out prophecies. The eighth is the rise of Islamic power. A confederation is formed. Daniel 11, Psalm 83, talks about this Islamic power, the confederation of the people living in that area, conspiring against Israel, surrounding Israel, the hostility. That's why there is no peace in the Middle East. Yeah, we live pretty comfortably. What did people do this morning? Did you get up? Did you have a comfortable breakfast? How many went outside and enjoyed a little bit of time? Can I see how many just went outside? Well, in Israel, the houses all have basements as bomb shelters. They don't know when some of those missiles can rain down. There's no peace in that area. Look what's going on in Syria, Iraq, Iran. Conflicts.

Continuing the ninth prophecy, the formation of a European Union with multiple rulers. Currently, Great Britain is out of this system. We always felt, how can one of the brothers of Israel be involved in a confederation that actually is against modern Israel? It doesn't make much sense. And sure enough, against all odds, just last year, Britain opted out of the European Union. I mean, they are a separate nation now. Of course, it's caused great unrest in the rest of the continent of Europe because they depended on England to be part.

Number 10, the unification of Germany that becomes preeminent power in Europe. Now, a lot of people take that for granted, but just 30 years ago, Germany was a divided nation. It was weakened because you had Western and Eastern Germany. And East Germany was a puppet state for the Soviet Union, the Russians. Western Germany was independent, but very dependent on the rest of Europe and the United States. But now, Germany has been unified. It's much more powerful. It's the most powerful nation in Europe, and by far the 11th prophecy to be fulfilled is the capacity of man to destroy all of humanity by nuclear, bacteriological, and chemical armaments. So that's already been fulfilled, and we can destroy all people on earth in various ways. A hundred years ago, that was impossible. You still had cannons and bows and arrows, and you had rifles, but you can't kill everybody like that. You can now, but they call. The nuclear war. Thermonuclear war. The 12th is the population explosion.

At the time of Christ, there were approximately 200 million people on the entire earth. And of course, the Chinese were the most populous of all. They've always been the most populous people on earth since at least two or three thousand, well at least something like maybe three thousand years ago. They built this hermit kingdom, and they isolated themselves from the rest of the world. But they actually ran a system where people multiplied and multiplied, and it was a functioning government. The rest of the world was divided up and never got its act together very well, except in the time of the Romans. In the year 1000, there were approximately 400 million. So it took a thousand years to double the population of the earth. But now, 800 years later, you not only doubled it, you went from 400 million to one billion people. And ever since 1900, I mean, it has multiplied time after time.

So from 1900, some people lived and were born at that time that still were, Mr. Armstrong was born in 1894. I knew him. We got to speak with him. I knew him for 16 years. So it hasn't been that far behind in the past since people lived in the year 1900. There was only a billion and 600 people. By the year 2000, we went from 1.6 billion to 6 billion people. Three times! More than three times multiplied. And now we have 7.5 billion people. And what's that causing? All kinds of problems. I mean, we are raping the earth just to be able to feed and industrialize. We're using up the metals and we're using up all of the resources of the earth. Thankfully, God has a lot of that hidden under the ocean, which is 70 percent. And man doesn't have the technology to get down there. So when the millennium comes, we're going to be able to use a lot of those resources and recycle a lot of what we have today. But basically, all of the cities of the earth are going to be completely knocked down because Christ is not going to build his society on top of this one. We start anew. We're not going to have houses piled up next to each other. We're going to have beautiful places. There's going to be a new ecological paradise. Let's continue. This would be number 13, the mortal threat to the earth due to air, soil, and water pollution because of man's rapacity. And the word, rapacity, comes from the word rape. It means to just devastate and take and completely suck out the life of something, the rapacity to just take everything. In Amos 7, 17, it says, you will die in a polluted land. And certainly, that is the case today. Revelation 11, 18, it says, Christ is going to destroy those that are destroying the land.

So this 13 would then be number 14, in that sense, if you want to correct it there. It says, the great worldwide moral degeneration. Heneous crimes and perversions are commonplace. I don't know how many red on Wednesday they had in the Orange County Register, a very tragic tale of the world that we're living today. And there on the front cover, it showed a lady in her late 30s, and she was suing a man in Florida because she was a surrogate mother. In other words, she was paid to carry the fertilized egg with a man's sperm that was placed in her uterus for her to grow these babies for this man. And they actually put three embryos in this woman, and she had triplets. And here in California law, she has no claim over these babies. She has to turn them over because she's been paid. This is called commercial surrogacy, which means that it is a commercial deal between a company that hires women's wombs to be able to fertilize and to make babies and sell babies. But what happened? This woman really only knew that the father lived in Florida. Older man, never married. He wanted to have children without getting married. And so he paid her. And this is tens of thousands of dollars. In her case, it was $30,000 plus $6,000 for every other child. And the problem was when she turned the triplets over to him, she found out the man was deaf and dumb, which means he couldn't talk. And he works as a postal worker at night. And he's trying to take care of these three kids in his father and mother's home. The mother is in bed, incapacitated. The father is basically in the same situation. So he's using the house, and they're trying to take care of these kids. And these kids, according to the sister of the man, she sued him because she says he can't even take care of himself. And he has the children living in the basement and eating off the floor. So this is the world we're living in. How perverted is this? This isn't what God intended. He intended a mother and a father to rear the children, not to have them sold in the market like any type of a zoo or one of these pet shops. This is the world we are living in. Moral degeneration. Kids don't know what is normal, from what is abnormal. So many of the news commentators in certain channels, they're basically homosexual. You don't have people that are just in the normal sense of things. They're being taken over. Many shows now are being taken over by people that are just not a father and mother, not a husband and wife. And of course, what is now happening with the marriage of men to men, women to women, and now multiple couples. Because now three men are getting married. They got married in Colombia, and pretty soon it's going to become more widespread. So just like it said in Luke 17, verses 26 through 28, just like in Noah's day, and just like in Lot's day. So it will be when Christ comes back. Those were the times, the multiplication of people on the earth in Noah's day, the violence going on, and in Lot's day, the depravity in Sodom and Gomorrah. So that's happening. Let's go. I'm going to write it down here so I won't confuse myself. This is number 14 here. The great worldwide moral degeneration and the 15 is the increase of political and military instability. The frequent military overthrows and extreme terrorist groups causing fear in awe. So it was prophesied that in the end times there would be all kinds of wars, rumors of wars, violence, as we see. Look what's happening now in North Korea. This is just one of the dangers the world is facing. We don't know how many others are in line to come up to the fore. Then we have number 16.

The increase of papal power and influence from Rome to the rest of the world. So you see that still spreading. You constantly see the trips. You see the presidents coming and bowing before the Pope. That was prophesied to happen as well because it's going to be a great religious movement coming up in the future. Number 17 would be the multiplication of the destructive power of war. Nuclear, biological bombs, many other types as well.

So it's not just a capacity, but it's multiplying and spreading. You can call that the proliferation of these destructive power of war. Number 18, the reappearance of great plagues around the world, such as AIDS, which have killed approximately 30 million people. About the same number in the Black Death in the Middle Ages. About 30 million people died in Europe at that time. About 30 million people have died of AIDS. Of course, we have a lot more population. At that time, it was a third of Europe that died. But still, you're talking about true plagues, Ebola, cholera, etc.

Number 19, the increased number and intensity of earthquakes and hurricanes. And if you look at the graph that geologists have, there has been an increase in the number of earthquakes on the Earth and their intensity. In the past two weeks, we just had two big ones in Mexico. Thankfully, the brethren are okay there, but it's caused a lot of damage.

Also, look at the hurricanes. Hurricane Harvey, then Irma. And also, a lot of people didn't know but in the Indian Ocean, they're in Bangladesh. There were over a thousand people because there was a hurricane there. They're called typhoons, which also devastated that area about the same time.

Then we have the 20th, which is the rise of droughts and large famines in parts of the world.

Especially in Africa, some very serious droughts and people are starving to death in many of these countries. Number 21, proliferation of religious sex. The occult, witchcraft, and Satanism have multiplied. You look at what is being put on the TV, on the movies, all this dark side, the horror and all of these things that gets people titillated, but at the same time, these are what Paul mentioned about the unprofitable works of darkness. Stay away from them.

The Gothic movement, the goth movement, with the kids all dressed in black, all tattooed, and with all kinds of ghastly images.

And number 22, the true gospel of the kingdom is again heard around the world and will continue to spread until the very end. Well, that's where we come in. This is the work of light, not of darkness. This is God's work here on earth. He could have used angels, would have done a lot better job, but then how do we get trained? Just like young men have to come up here, they don't have the opportunity. How do they learn to do things right? Well, God is teaching through his church how we are to conduct ourselves, how to teach others. So we're learning. Those that are writing for the magazine, those that are on TV, those that are getting the gospel out, it might not have a tremendous impact, but these people are being trained to serve. Noah was trained to serve. How many people did Noah convert? Well, he was lucky that he got his family in the ark, right? But he was being trained. He's going to be in the world tomorrow. He knows he was a preacher of righteousness. So God is not the God of numbers. He is a God of quality, not quantity. And so we are learning for the future. God is the one that provides the growth. It's a tough world out there. So those are the 22 prophecies that have been fulfilled. Now we go to the next page here on the back, 1 Thessalonians 5.20. It says, do not despise prophecies, because some people, they don't want to hear about prophecy. Oh, they want to hear about all these other things going on, or their little pet theories about. These are important parts. Almost a third of the Bible is prophecy. While it is not spiritually healthy to dwell on prophecy, for close to two-thirds of the Bible deals with other important subjects, we should not ignore them. After reviewing 22 prophecies that have basically been fulfilled, let's analyze the 22 prophecies that are yet to be carried out. These are the most probable scenarios as we presently understand Bible prophecy.

So here are the ones that are left to be fulfilled. Number one, something dramatic occurs to the world's economic and military system, with the center of power more in Europe. Something is going to happen. It's going to knock the economic system based today on the modern tribes of Israel, especially the U.S., Great Britain, and the commonwealth of nations, well, and in Europe. But something is going to change this system, because we see the beast power will arise, who is going to be the king of the north, and that's talking about a European power. We're talking about that whole area around the Mediterranean, which is going to be the focus of prophecy in the end times.

Second, the rise of the king of the north, also known as the beast, a political and military leader. You have all the scriptures you can go over. You can make a good Bible study over this graph in your free time. Number three, Satan's great rebellion against God fails, and he is cast out with his angels to the earth and is three and a half years left. So this basically is when it signals the end times with Satan's rebellion being thrown on the earth. He only has three and a half years to try to devastate the earth, because it's similar to what happened at the end of World War II when Adolf Hitler knew that he had lost the war, and he sent out the notice and an order to his generals to destroy Germany, because if he couldn't rule it, he didn't want anybody else ruling it. Thankfully, the generals did not carry it out, but in his mind, in his madness, he wanted to just say, well, the German people are my people, and if I can't rule them, then let's destroy them all. Well, Satan is the same way. He's been around on this earth for a long time. If I can't rule it, I don't want anybody to rule. I want to really devastate it, and that's the period of the Great Tribulation.

So, number four, a new world economic order arises in Europe under 10 rulers and the beast. Daniel 8, Revelation 17 and 18. Go over that. The fifth, the false prophet appears with miraculous powers to deceive with his helpers, because it tells us there in Revelation 16, 13, and 14 that demons will use others as well to deceive the nations.

The sixth, the king of the south, very likely under Islam, appears on the world scene and will provoke a war with the nations under the rule of the king of the north. So, this is where you start seeing the nations beginning to gather for World War III. Another great war is about to happen.

The last one before Christ comes back. He's not going to allow World War IV. Number seven, sacrifices will begin in Jerusalem, and there's a Temple Institute organization that has built all of the utensils for having an altar and starting the sacrifices and a small temple of such, because the Jewish people feel they're under God's orders to have sacrifices. They've not been able to physically do so since the Romans stopped them in AD 70, but they still feel obligated to have sacrifices. That has not happened yet. Number eight, the two witnesses arise, two especially chosen church leaders. So, we don't know who they are yet, but we will know them because God will give them great power and miraculous powers. Number nine, the European invasion of Israel and the Middle East region.

So, that's going to take place. Number 10, the work of the church finishes its stage of spreading the gospel to the world. So, there's going to be a time when we're not going to be able to publish magazines. We're not going to be able to be on the air. The church readies itself for going to that place of protection. Number 11, Jerusalem is conquered and the sacrifices are halted. The abomination of desolation is set up. We're talking about all this in that three and a half year period. Number 12, the church flees to its place of refuge for three and a half years. There are plenty of scriptures that tell us about this flight. Number 13, the mark of the beast becomes compulsory during the Great Tribulation. People will think it's the only way to get jobs and be safe. Number 14, the European attack against Russia and possibly other parts of Asia. The first woe begins. So, again, as the events happen, here we're talking about the trumpets that start sounding. Homer Moore gave a sermon on this and what is that first woe signifies a terrible time. Woe is me. Of course, when we say that is because something bad has happened to me. Well, this is something bad that's going to really happen in that area. Number 15, Russian and possibly Asian counter-attack European Union. The second woe begins.

Number 16, the Asiatic invasion reaches the area of Israel. The collective mindset of the Asians helps gather such an army of 200 million. In 1900, the population was 1.6 billion, so it wasn't ready. You can't have the whole population of the earth being 1.6 billion and having 200 million adults gathered together in this way. But today, we've got over 7 billion people. There's 1.3 billion in China alone. They've got plenty of people, and over there, it's a communist system. The government commands them, and they have to obey. And so it is possible to have 200 million coming from that area of Asia. Number 17, angels pour out the seven last plagues or bowls upon the entire earth, yet people refuse to repent.

Number 18, the gathering of the earth's armies at the valley of Armageddon in Israel.

Then 19, right before Christ returns, great signs appear in the heavens. Number 20, Christ returns to the earth and nations lament. They're not going to be happy.

People are not going to want to be under the rule of Christ when He teaches them His perfect and just and good law. James mentions there in chapter 1, the perfect law of liberty that's what the world needs to understand. They think it's a law of slavery. No, it's perfect, it's a law, and it's of liberty. When you follow God's ways, you have liberty to live without all of these slavish and all of these parasitical sins that just suck the life from you. You have true freedom. And then verse 21, number 21, He defeats the rebellious armies around Jerusalem and becomes king of kings on the earth. And number 22, what we're about to celebrate, a day of atonement, and then the Feast of Tabernacles, Satan is bound for a thousand years and is cast into a prison-like pit. God's thousand-year reign begins on the earth. So here are four mandates that we should remember as we near the final stages of the end time.

Number one, we should continue to reject this world's false value and religious system to avoid the punishment that will come upon the entire earth. We don't want to be part of those that are going to have the mark of the beast. Number two, we should continue to simplify our lives and not be swallowed up by the crass materialism around us. We should enjoy physical things, but not let them become the center of our lives. We should live like we will die of old age, but prepare as if God begins to intervene strongly tomorrow. Number three, we need to prepare ourselves to become teachers of God's ways, learning the most in church to become faithful servers and leaders now and in the kingdom of God. And finally, to humbly strive to become an integrated part of the Bride of Christ, maintaining the unity of the faith and the spirit of service in the church. So, brethren, I know this is a mouthful. That's a lot of material to assimilate, but isn't it wonderful that God teaches us through His Word what is coming? We don't know it all. This is the best we understand, but God has given us a lot of evidence and a lot to chew on as we prepare ourselves for this coming day of atonement and then for that wonderful feast of tabernacles.
