God likens the day of salvation to a wedding--a time of the absolutely greatest joy, accompanied by the greatest commitment of love that God can make to us. God will joy over us, to marry us and give us salvation. But he also instructs us that, to become his bride, each of us must develop the characteristics of the bride of Christ.
