The Feast of Trumpets represents many things: The first resurrection, the return of Christ, and the Yom Teruah, "a great noise, shout, or blast". Trumpets also foretells of the 7th Trumpet, the Day of The Lord, a great and dreadful day. The difference in whether the coming of the Lord is great or dreadful for each of us, depends on how we are found when He comes.
