When the Trumpet Sounds

The Feast of Trumpets points us to the return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the saints, and the establishment of God's Kingdom on earth. Throughout Scripture, the trumpet represents a call to assemble, move, prepare, warn, and recognize the coming King. But this Holy Day is not only about what will happen someday, it is a message for us today: Wake up, listen, repent, remain faithful, and have hope. As we hear the message of the trumpet, we should ask ourselves, "What am I doing today to be ready when Christ returns?"
