When the Words Fade

Recently I stood before the original Declaration of Independence in the National Archives in Washington DC and I was struck by the condition of the document.  Apparently, because we were unaware of how to preserve this piece of our history, its words and signatures had dimmed to a point that it is almost illegible. I couldn't help but draw parallels in my mind about the faded document and what it has become in our society and our personal lives. The following is a quote from Thomas Jefferson in the year 1781, "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever." ...As The Words Fade...
