Wonderfully Made To Bridge The Gap

The spirit of man within man (human spirit) is “a bridge” between physical life and becoming sons and daughters of God in the Family of God. The spirit within man records what the brain comes to know—even the attitude and aspects of character—not only of the human brain but also of the entire body. The human spirit is like a “mold.” The sculptor makes a mold of the finished model. This mold is preserved and used to create an exact copy of the clay model, but now it can be made in another material—for example, gold instead of clay. The spirit of each human being functions as a “mold.” It preserves the memory, character, form, and shape of the human being to be resurrected.

Today I want to talk about being wonderfully made to breach the gap. And it's kind of an enigmatic title because, indeed, we are wonderfully made. First, God created the angels. Then they had a purpose and have a purpose to help the God Kingdom, the God Family. Then God made the universe and the angels, as we read in Job 38 verse 7, shouted for joy. All the sons of God shouted for joy when they saw the universe being made. And God put some of them on earth to help him with his plan. But we know over the course of time, Satan rebelled. He rejected the government of God. And there was war and destruction. And out come now we had the earth was, or had become, without form and void. Subsequently, God renewed the face of the earth over six days. And as we know, he rested on the Sabbath. But in Genesis 1 verse 26 and 27, Genesis 1 verse 26 and 27, we read that God said, let us, that's God Elohim, the two co-eternal beings, one commanded, which is the God, commanded the Word, which became Christ. And the Word then fulfilled the command, that instruction, that they then decided according to their plan, for which we are very grateful. And they said, let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. And then in verse 27, Elohim further says, and so God created man in his own image, in the image of God.

Man was created with the capability to think, reason, to make choices, to make decisions, capable to form ethical, moral, and spiritual decisions, as well as develop their own attitudes, which could be right or wrong. And the intent of that, ultimately, is that we all, and this is the purpose of God, that we all would be born into the family of God. With perfect character who will not, and who will not be able to, sin. And that is through that development of that character, which requires time and experience. And so what is character? Character is the capability to comprehend true values from false. The capability to comprehend right from wrong, and the desire and the willingness and the willpower to choose the right, to do the right regardless and resist evil. And so, of the created beings, physical beings, that God made, only man has that capability to develop character. Animals have a brain, but do not have the ability to develop holy, godly, righteous character.

And so what is the difference between the animal brain and the human mind's capabilities? Is it the size? No, because the brains of elephants and whales and dolphins are larger than the human brain. Is it the quality? Well, indeed, the quality of the human brain is slightly superior to the quality of other brains. But that does not account for the vast difference in capabilities. And so we have to look at God's purpose. What is God doing? What is His purpose for humanity? God is creating a family. Recently, I gave a sermon about the nature of God that reveals His plan of salvation. The very nature of God who He is reveals His plan of salvation. That we are to be part of that God family. So, putting it in very simple words, God is reproducing Himself. In John 4.24, it says, God is spirit. In other words, God, the creator, the designer, the ruler, He has a supreme mind and He is perfect, holy, and righteous character. That's what God is. That's His character. He is the character of love. That's who He is. But He is using material substance, like you and I, or material or physical flesh, from this physical earth to reproduce Himself. And so, from the physical earth, God formed man in His image and likeness. In other words, in His form and shape.

So, He has given man a mind, a mind which has far superior qualities. The Jesus is a great purpose for us because He is reproducing Himself in us. In other words, developing in us perfect, holy, and righteous character. And so, for man to become a Son of God with the same character as God has and the same spiritual life, then the character that is God's has to be built in man and must emanate from God. And the spiritual life, in other words, for man to be spirit as God is spirit, that also must emanate from God. And therefore, God has a plan, a plan to bridge the gap between matter and spirit. See, you and I are matter, but we will be spirit. And God is a
