For the Youth - Bible Trivia:
1. In the parable of the Parodical (lost) Son, what did the Father do for his son who eventually returned home after spending all of his inheritance on wasteful living?
*Hint: Luke 15:11-32 Luke 15:11-32 [11] And he said, A certain man had two sons:
[12] And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me. And he divided to them his living.
[13] And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
[14] And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
[15] And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
[16] And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave to him.
[17] And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
[18] I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before you,
[19] And am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of your hired servants.
[20] And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
[21] And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight, and am no more worthy to be called your son.
[22] But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
[23] And bring here the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
[24] For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
[25] Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.
[26] And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
[27] And he said to him, Your brother is come; and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has received him safe and sound.
[28] And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and entreated him.
[29] And he answering said to his father, See, these many years do I serve you, neither transgressed I at any time your commandment: and yet you never gave me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
[30] But as soon as this your son was come, which has devoured your living with harlots, you have killed for him the fatted calf.
[31] And he said to him, Son, you are ever with me, and all that I have is yours.
[32] It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this your brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

2. Where did the Philistines take the Ark of the Covenant after it was captured following their defeat of Israel in battle? What was discovered over the next two mornings after the ark was place there?
*Hint: 1 Samuel 4:10-12 1 Samuel 4:10-12 [10] And the Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen.
[11] And the ark of God was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.
[12] And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent, and with earth on his head.
American King James Version×, 1 Samuel 5:1-5 1 Samuel 5:1-5 [1] And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod.
[2] When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
[3] And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen on his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.
[4] And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen on his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off on the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.
[5] Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.

3. How many men did God command Moses to send out as spies into the land of Canaan to explore it in order to see what it was like?
* Hint: Numbers 13:1-20 Numbers 13:1-20 [1] And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
[2] Send you men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall you send a man, every one a ruler among them.
[3] And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
[4] And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.
[5] Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.
[6] Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
[7] Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.
[8] Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.
[9] Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.
[10] Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.
[11] Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.
[12] Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.
[13] Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.
[14] Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.
[15] Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.
[16] These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.
[17] And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
[18] And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwells therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
[19] And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
[20] And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be you of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes.
