Today we will examine a prophecy fulfilled by Jesus, His triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
Drawing on an experience from a 1984 trip to China, we’ll consider how a witty rebuke from an elderly Black woman corrected the speaker’s entitled complaining and put his minor inconveniences into perspective. The encounter also serves as a springboard for a broader lesson on the biblical principle of "words fitly spoken," and using our words effectively.
Today we will examine the condition of being hard hearted in the Bible. We will look at terms that the bible uses to describe this condition and then we will explore examples of individuals with a hard heart and we will conclude with ways we can soften our own hearts.
We all make plans. We dream about the life we hope to build — the career, the family, the comforts, the future we envision for ourselves. But what happens when God’s plan looks different from ours? Esther did not plan to become queen of Persia. Amos did not seek to be a prophet. The Shunammite woman did not expect the blessing — and trial — of motherhood. Yet each was placed in circumstances beyond their choosing for a greater purpose. The same is true for those called today. Romans 8:28 and Ephesians 1:11 remind us that we are called according to God’s purpose. Are we willing to let God direct our steps? Are we willing to trust Him to dream for us something we might not ever dream ourselves? Will we have the faith to step forward and trust Him and His timing.
The world – humanity – is presently in darkness, under the sway, the veil, of satan the devil, our adversary. The world desperately needs the veil lifted, and we are promised that the time will come. We as the firstfruits, called out of darkness into the light, have had that veil lifted from our eyes, spiritually speaking. We must show the way now, through our actions, our conduct, our words – the ‘light’ of God shining through us – and though mankind cannot see now, just as the disciples couldn’t always see what Christ was saying – the day is coming, that great day of the Kingdom of God, where the veil over mankind will be lifted.
As the world watches the Winter Olympics, we’re reminded that greatness isn’t achieved in a single moment—it’s the result of thousands of unseen decisions made long before the competition begins. In the same way, our spiritual lives are shaped not by one act of examination, but by the daily choices that form our character. In this message, we explore the Olympic motto—Faster, Higher, Stronger, Together—and as we prepare for the Passover, let's look beyond a simple pass-or-fail mindset and instead examine the small, daily “votes” we cast with our decisions—choices that determine who we are becoming.
Knowing the truth about the resurrections being us great peace, but can also lead us to great complacency. Though many can be called later, believers are commanded to be salt and light now, knowing God can use our words and actions in tomorrow’s judgement. We must strive for visible, faithful living that leaves the light on for when others are finally ready to see.
There are a myriad of lessons within God's creation, even something as small as a seed and the germination process teaches us deep spiritual lessons about transformation, perseverance and faith. Just as the seed must break its protective barrier, receive water, and orient to the light - we too must allow God in, yield to His Spirit and grow toward Jesus Christ, the Light of the World. Sometimes, we can be discouraged because the visible growth in our lives is illusive, but God works in us long before He works through us, and sometimes the growth is right there waiting to break the surface, and the result lie just on the other side of our impatience.
Today, we will look at examining our heart as we prepare for the upcoming Passover.
Wars, unrest, political upheaval, and global instability dominated the headlines in 2025. But how should Christians understand these events through the lens of Bible prophecy? In this sermon, we step back from the headlines to examine what Scripture actually says about the conditions leading up to the return of Jesus Christ. Using Christ’s Olivet Prophecy and key passages from Daniel, Revelation, Hosea, and the Gospels, we examine seven prophetic markers that must be in place before Christ’s return — some already fulfilled, others still developing. While focusing on perspective, biblical context, and Christ’s clear instruction to remain watchful, grounded, and spiritually prepared. As world events accelerate, what does God expect of His people? We truly live in interesting times — and Scripture shows us how to respond.
Our world discards the unwanted. Life is so easily thrown away. But that is not what God has planned- true restoration awaits Christ's return. Drawing from the inspiring true story of Possum Trot, we explore God's eternal plan of adoption. How we, once spiritual orphans shattered by sin, are freely chosen and irrevocably adopted as heirs to emphasize security, new identity, and inheritance in Christ. Amid whatever suffering we endure in this life, we will be transformed from exiles to beloved sons and daughters for all eternity.
What does it actually mean to quench the Spirit? How would you even know if you’re doing it? It’s easy to imagine some dramatic definitive rebellion is required, but Scripture paints a different picture. In this message, we’ll look at how God’s Spirit is often quenched through ordinary, easy, everyday choices—and how it flows through (or stops at) four key “gates” in our lives. We’ll go to the Bible to answer the question and learn how to choose life, again and again.
Today we will look at our Christian walk and ways in which we can be a blessing to others
Chores are a blessing for our kids: In a world that often leans toward "what’s in it for me?," how do we raise children who are confident, hardworking, and generous? This message dives into the "Godly Perspective of Work" and explores why household chores are about much more than just a clean kitchen. They are a training ground for character, empathy, and a sense of belonging.
Today we will look at the analogy the church being the temple of God.
Jesus Christ taught powerfully the importance of repentance, belief and action relating to our faith. Let's explore these concepts to see what Christ instructs.
There's a difference between a life broken into compartments and a life fully surrendered to God. From childhood classrooms to ancient pagan worldviews, from modern workplaces to the furnaces of Babylon, scripture reveals that God is not the ruler of just one room in our week--He is Lord over every place that we stand and every moment we live. Through biblical examples, personal stories, and practical application, this sermon calls believers to step out of a divided life and into a unified walk with God--everywhere and all the time.
While we can't be perfect as human beings, there is a way to perfection that really matters - spiritual perfection. This message offers four basic 'steps' to becoming perfect as our Father and His Son are perfect.
Wildfires offer a vivid picture of how quickly strife can spread when pride, unchecked desires, and careless words are allowed to ignite in our families, workplaces, churches and other communities. Scripture illustrates how discord grows where gossip, rumor, and contentious speech provides fuel and oxygen for division. God's instructions are clear; remove the fuel by rejecting talebearing, refuse the oxygen by not entertaining rumor, and cultivate humility, peace and spiritual vigilance. Each of us have a responsibility to prevent 'fires' from taking place.
If you had a chance to read your own obituary, before it was 'set in stone'... what would you want it to be? Alfred Nobel had this opportunity, and didn't like what he saw. He made a course correct and caused his legacy to be remembered differently. As Ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, we're called to set the example of what this life should look like today, living a life that reflects the precious price paid for us all.
