Meditation is one of the "Big Four" when it comes to being a Christian (Prayer, Study, Fasting, & Meditation), but much of what comes to mind on the topic of meditation harkens to Eastern religions or New Age concepts. This message covers the difference between Eastern and Biblical meditation and touches on eight topics that the Bible tells us to meditate upon.
Whether or not you are permitted into God's Kingdom depends on the use of a special key by its sole Owner.
When we have foreknowledge of a coming catastrophy, we should prepare for what may or will happen. Not to prepare is irresponsible and leads to unnecessary tragedy. We have been given a warning of what is to come in the end time. What will you do to prepare for the looming catastrophes?
The God Family is engaged in a new project with you and me. The end result is greater than anything seen before, impacting the earthly and heavenly realms, even impacting the God Family itself. God is making all things new. What is our role in this project?
Can you direct your own life in a way that achieves ultimate fulfillment and success? Considering that humans by themselves have a vision limited to their physical, temporal environment. However, a greater Eternal vision is available to those who are called to follow God.
War has been a part of human experience and culture, something which society generally justifies as necessary. James reminds us where wars come from. But joy comes from agape love, not war. The Holy Spirit is one of love through humility. Which spirit do you allow yourself to be led by? When we are led by the Holy Spirit, what should our attitude be?
A key attribute of the God Family is that all of its relationships trend towards oneness. In stark contrast, relationships based on Satan's model constantly fracture and divide. The "fruit" of living God's way is agape, joy and joining, while the "fruit" of carnal living is wrath and division. Which type of fruit are you are bearing is a strong indicator of the type of vine you are attached to. Jesus said, "You will know them by their fruits" (Matthew 7:16).
"Reality" to a human being tends to include things solely within the physical realm. Because things in and of the spirit (or "heavenly") dimension are not detected by the five senses, humans tend to discount it as being the true and eternal reality. Yet the paradox is that we live in a type of temporary (or virtual) reality created for a short-term purpose. The "real" reality lies beyond what can be perceived by ourselves alone. Obtaining a future life within the spirit realm requires assistance from God's Holy Spirit to understand and diligently seek it with enduring perseverance. The giving of God's Holy Spirit is a sure promise to those who are called.
The many facets of God's Plan of Salvation conclude with an event that does not involve our participation in any way. Eternal life is given through a supernatural transformation into spirit bodies which will dwell in another dimension, spirit. This climactic event is foretold for the firstfruits of God's Family in part by the Feast of Harvest of the Firstfruits.
Lawlessness is growing at every level in society, government, and interpersonal interactions. Its effects are spiraling out of control even as people promote it as the way forward for civilization. On this Sabbath day that God has set aside and commanded us to keep it holy, we are to do good. Doing the holy work of loving God and man leads to blessings of godly living.
All participants in the New Covenant will face opposition from several sources. Satan will oppose God and try to derail His Master Plan for all mankind. Those who rise to the challenge, face the risks, persevere and overcome the opposition are genuinely developing a nature like God's.
In order for God to give you one hope of your calling, He has invested a huge amount of His time, effort and personal expense to facilitate you with every opportunity needed for success in His eternal Kingdom. From the planning stages before the world began, and through the development the physical universe and life systems, with patiently working with humans for over 7,000 years before He is finished, time is certainly on God's side. God is not rushed in His plan of His salvation. He wants to wait on us so long as we live with an urgency and eagerly await the Kingdom. However, time is not on your side. In fact you have very little time to do your part. Learn how to awake to the reality of your opportunity for salvation and redeem the precious moments that remain while you can.
Of many covenants God has made, the New Covenant embraces us at this time. Understanding both God's role and responsibilities, and your role and responsibilities in fulfilling it are vital to its success.
"Doctrine" is divine teaching recorded in the Bible which came through "God-breathed" inspiration. Who is the ultimate Source of doctrine? Who delivered the doctrine? Can any human establish, select, edit, or adjust doctrine for societal conditions? Learn what the Bible says about "the doctrine."
God has shown great humility, sacrifice and serving in pausing to create the physical universe, then come as a human and live and die for us. A person after God's heart will develop a nature with similar traits.
Peace on earth is impossible for those led by their human nature. Being an agent of peace and unity is integral to the mindset of God and His family. But waging peace with citizens in lawless societies requires one to heartily accept being the recipient of unfairness and injustices. Peace, unity and oneness are obtained through performing deeds that are repugnant to human nature and its notions of fairness and justice. Do you have what it takes to be a peacemaker?
Popular Christianity skews God's insistence that man is to be obedient and compliant with laws. This message examines common excuses that twist Scripture in an attempt to diminish one's need to be lawful in a strict sense. Deeds and words of David, Paul and Jesus get a fresh look as we see through deceptive myths that tend to diminish the importance of carefully obeying all that God commands, or else.
Your spiritual journey has a beginning and a destination you must reach. In between the start and finish is a difficult path through valleys and dangers that try to distract, divert, or stop you there. To be saved you must keep moving forward and endure all the way to the end.
We are to become dear children who imitate their Father. However, Satan and his evil society oppose the Family of God, including Their developing children. Loyalty to God, His way, his commandments are a test of one's profession of his or her conviction. Jesus indicated that we either must stand up for Him and His Family, or be denied by Him to the Father.
The bona-fide children of the God family are maturing daily into more recognizable associates of their spiritual Parents. One of the most recognizable deeds of the Family is "good works" which is a principal reason for their early calling in the present evil age. God's purpose for their performing of good works may well surprise you. It's family business and you are invited to participate.
