2025 Feast of Tabernacles: Albury, NSW, Australia

2 minutes read time

Brethren from around Australia and overseas faithfully gathered to keep the Feast and were in a joyous spirit of fellowship.

We knew we were in the right place to keep the Feast by the buzz coming from the hall. Brethren from around Australia and overseas faithfully gathered to keep the Feast and were in a joyous spirit of fellowship. We came to learn more about God and His promises, and all about His plan for mankind—not just an intellectual exercise, but to really get to know God from the heart.

We were reminded through many messages that God has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light—that there are no gray areas with God. Are we lovers of light? Will we remain lovers of light in a world overwhelmed by darkness? God is moulding and shaping us to ensure we are ready for our role in the coming Kingdom.

The activities catered to all ages. Following the first Holy Day service, we held the traditional meet and greet in which brethren renewed friendships and began new ones around a selection of finger foods. The potluck and games night brought us together again around a sumptuous meal and some very creative and challenging games. Other activities included “barefoot bowls,” a well-attended seniors’ luncheon, family day and picnic in the park, as well as 10-pin bowling and putt-putt golf for the youth and young adults.

The Function Centre where we gathered for services had a restaurant that enabled brethren to gather for a meal and fellowship, or even just a coffee before services. There were many opportunities to break bread together, get to know one another, encourage each other, and spend time outdoors hiking and walking in the beautiful parks of Albury.

The collection of special music items focused on God and His glory. The creative use of virtual choir pieces was much appreciated. On the Eighth Day, the Feast Choir gave an inspiring presentation of “The Holy City.”

The last sermon on the Eighth Day finished with Numbers 6:22-26, a reminder to us all that God will see us through.
