Wouldn't it be nice if we humans could enjoy such unity in our interactions with others, never bumping into each other or stepping on each other's toes? We lack built-in tools for this, but we can learn. One skill that makes moving about among people easier is to learn and practice nice words. "Excuse me," "thank you" and "if you don't mind" are a set of nice words that allow us to give one another some space.

Not all people are gifted with the ability to always say the right thing. It is hard to go wrong, though, when you have a set of sayings or words that leave the other thinking, "That is a nice person." We have little to lose and much to gain through the use of language that helps us to travel smoothly in a "school" of humans.
