Toward the end of the Great Depression in the 1930s, comic book superheroes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Captain America made their debut. They grew in popularity; and today, during an era that is beginning to mirror the hardship of the '30s, they continue to win big with movie audiences (Douglas Hyde, "Superheroes Rise in Tough Times," CNN.com, March 20, 2009).

When times get tough, everybody wants a hero. However, it's important to rely on a hero who can actually save people. The name Jesus means "Savior" and there's a reason. He will save the entire planet one day soon.

I was amazed when I saw this article & how it paralleled a recent event in my life. On a late Sunday night, 06/16/13, I was driving back home to my house from fiancé's house. As I sat at the red traffic light next to a shopping plaza, there was a movie marquee displaying the current movies. I didn’t pay much attention, the light turned green. All of a sudden, much like a delayed reaction, it hit me. I went back, parked down into the parking lot, & re-read it. There I sat, frozen in complete awe & amazement, of what was lit up right in front of me. I slowly took it in, realizing the full weight of what the movie titles spelled out. Literally, it was the sign I’d been looking for: “Epic Man of Steel, Fast and Furious Is The End, Purge, After Earth, Internship—Now You See Me”. In that moment, I was immediately humbled; in that moment I knew that God had truly blessed me with a message of amazing grace & of what He has in store for mankind! It was the defining moment in my life that solidified my faith in God, & now I share my story and the picture every chance I get! Tawn P
